This is our third trip to Ireland and the best guest house in which we have ever stayed! Everything was perfect, modern, spotless. Mary and Hugh have seen to every creature comfort: great wifi, plenty of electric outlets, coffee pot, great electric shower, TV, easy chair, luggage rack, vanity table, etc. Mary's breads are fantastic. She even took us to the cemetery... More

The best B&B we have ever stayed in and it's all credit to the lovely owners Mary and Hugh who were extremely helpful with everything and made us feel at home from the very start. Beautiful house and nice breakfast served every morning with delicious homemade bread! Lovely location too with stunning views.

By far the best B&B I have stayed in. Mary & Hugh made us feel so much at home and with two kids under two it was not easy for us. But with their help, our stay was most enjoyable. Bedrooms are beautiful and modern and spotless. Homemade breakfast and Mary's own brown bread was to die for. Top class... More

Country setting. Very reasonably priced. Strong internet. Don't hesitate, book your Glenties stay here. Margaret and Michael Mills

We loved our stay with Mary and Hugh at the Avalon. They are extremely welcoming people and very helpful. They cook a breakfast to your specs. Very convenient to Glenties – an easy walk. Glenties itself is a great base from which to tour Donegal. Make sure to check out the fabulous trad music at Glen pub – on the... More

Avalon B&B is a wonderful place to stay. Having arrived you are welcomed by Mary and her husband Hugh with coffee and self-made cake or bread. The rooms are modern and lovely, the breakfast so rich as almost everything is home-made by Mary. There is a 24-hour-service we have not experienced elsewhere. Corina and Thomas from Germany
