We recently spent a weekend here and from the minute we walked into reception we were impressed at how friendly, helpful and professional the staff were. Even though a lot of the staff were young, everyone we met was lovely. We had our 6 month old baby with us and she was made a fuss of and welcomed into the...

This is a gem of a hotel. Enjoying a great location, away from it all, the hotel nevertheless has plenty of charm, wonderful staff and has retained that oldy worldy look and feel that we all go to Donegal to savour. Rooms were very clean and well appointed. Food was great with a very varied wine list. Staff were very...

Arriving late, having had the most incredible trip around the NW coast and Malin Head and worried about where to stay we were given a very warm welcome and given a lovely room. The place was clean and had an almost old fashioned decoration which was lovely. Superb menu and food in good cosy surroundings. I believe it is a...

Clean room, good food in the bar, great price. Staff are friendly and eager to help. Biggest deep fried brie I've ever seen, a meal in itself. Real stove burning away in the bar too, very inviting. Wine list has something for everyone.

We had purchased this through Treat ticket. I had a flu and didn't want to cancel. The weather was awful but we ventured on! Very quaint wee village. We had an absolutely lovely time and the staff were so helpful. The food from breakfasts to dinner was fantastic. I would be back in a heartbeat, it's cosy and comfortable and...

Malin Town on the Inishowen peninsula is a great base to explore some of the best parts of Donegal especially Malin Head, Ireland's most northerly point. And Malin Hotel is a great spot to stay. I do have one complaint. We asked for a large bed as I'm tall, but our bed had a headboard that banged loudly off the...

Spent the full day and night here, the staff were great and the food was second to none! The wedding went without a hitch! Well recommended as a place to stay if you are in the area. Some great scenic views to be had near by in the surrounding area too!

We stayed at the Malin only one night and found it to be a charming boutique hotel. Our triple room was pretty tight but clean and comfortable. The bar & restaurant were both very nice. Staff were efficient and hard working as we noticed several of them taking on a variety of responsibilities within the hotel. (i.e.the front desk person...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Going through the door, you're greeted by the creme de la creme of local society. In the air, a distinct scent of haute cuisine and sensual traces of eau de cologne. Ah! C'est la vie in le Malin Hotel. Here we do things "la francaise" - food par excellence, rooms au courant. And a great pint, too! Boutique? We created the word! We're your little pied-de-terre and your "moulin rouge" in the midst of the beauty of Donegal. Boudoirs that'll knock your socks off, wine to blow your mind and scenery that'll make your eyes pop. Unique? You can say that again. ... more   less
