This is a small campground right off 40. Very convenient to Oak Ridge and Lenoir City. We enjoyed restaurants and attractions in both. The campground sites are close to one another but spotlessly maintained. Our GPS was giving us screwy directions but one phone call and Joyce had us straightened out. Nice walk to the river. Overall a very positive experience. As others have noted, 40 is very noisy 24/7. Not an issue in our RV.

Stayed here in a 30 ft. Travel trailer for a week in September. First of all, when the other reviewers say how loud I-40 traffic is, they are not exaggerating. It is loud. That being said, it is a nice little place. The laundry area was spotless which I loved. We stayed in a TVA site.Another let down was that due to dropping of the dam water we could barely take our boat out and the neighbor did not dare. That however is on TVA. Not the campground. The staff was great and very helpful.

The plus is the location if you want near freeway access. The minus is traffic noise. Staff extremely cooperative. Room for a big rig in a couple of sites. Our 45 foot plus tow was great in site A-1. Tight quarters for most. Drive West 1 hr to Deer Run Rv Park if you want quiet and beauty plus activities.

We were excited to go check it out. They offered most amenities we wanted. We get there and get a lay of the campground. We liked what we were seeing. We went to the office to ask about availabilities and the lady behind the desk was very rude. She didn't greet us with a smile or welcome us. She did give us information but she had a scowel on her face like we interrupted her busy schedule. There was a sign out front that said Welcome we are glad you re here. My wife says the sign needs to be removed simply because the lady was rude. You get 1 shot at giving a good impression and she failed miserably. We will not be giving them any of our buisness.

What a great site. The grounds are beautiful, and the lake was so picturesque with calm mirror images...just gorgeous at sunset and sunrise. We enjoyed fishing and the views, along with cooking over a campfire. The store had everything we needed, ice, wood, worms. The trash bins were spread out, and it was the first dump site we have been too that had a kid to hold down our hose (loved that). The neighbors were so quiet and super friendly too along with Joyce, who remembered our name. Just a wonderful experience.

When I went there in person for info (had called 6x during weekday with no answering of phone) I immediately expressed concern about the freeway being so close, I was a light sleeper, would it be a problem. The woman in the office told me "with the trees and the water you won't hear a thing from the freeway" - all night long the noise was loud and constant and every 30 minutes or so a truck would blast his air brakes coming down that hill in the middle of the night. Packed up and left at first light and have been calling to cancel rest of stay and get refund with again, the usual them not answering their phone. Also overpriced for a spot on the grass next to stagnant water with nothing but a picnic table and trash can. Water/restroom 1/4 mile away.

Convenient location. Very nice bathrooms. Nice pull through pad. Even though we arrived after hours, Joyce came by to check on us. Close to the highway but park-like setting. Highly recommend if you are passing through.

It is terrible to have to leave such negative remarks, however for our fellow campers, we feel it’s important to detail our own experience so you can decide if it seems worth it to you to stay at this location. The staff were kind, but I must say, that’s all this place had positive. If you look at soaring eagle campground (lenoir city tn) own web page, vs photos & the way things actually are, I don’t believe the google reviews are accurate. Website states under amenities: clean, heated & air conditioned bath house. The bath house near the boat dock is a small mobile home turned into their “bath house” it absolutely does NOT have air (was very hot when we stayed) there’s no thermostat or any signs to even indicate it has ever had, or currently has air conditioned. The restroom stalls are so small, (only 2 stalls) you can barely use restroom. No doors on stalls, curtains only. The showers you can hardly even turn around in without hitting yourself on pipes, or walls or the curtain sticking to you. When you get out, it’s so hot, you need a shower again within minutes from sweating. This “bath house” does NOT have a key code for entry. It’s a screen door. I went to the “bath house” by the office (as they gave a map upon registering & told what the key code was to enter the restroom) the woman’s side said “under construction” no keypad there either. The outside of the mens restroom ONLY by the office DID show a keypad for entry. The website is definitely misleading as far as MANY things go. Also under amenities on the website: swimming pool & picnic shelter. Swimming pool does not open until memorial weekend, however website does NOT clarify this & they should not assume everyone knows their pool doesn’t open until memorial weekend. This was one of the main reasons we stayed because our grandchild was so excited about the pool. Also under amenities on the website: beautiful lake sites: fish from your site. Sites are pretty close together & there’s quite a few sites that “claim” to be lakeside, however you can’t even see the water from those sites. Many of the campers there are full timers. They are permanent residents. This has a RV park feel, NOT a campground. Our experience in camping along side full timers, many feel they were there first so they can use YOUR area, or disregard quiet time, etc. it is RIGHT next to I-40 so it’s very loud at all times. Constant traffic noise. If you are used to quiet campgrounds, this one is NOT for you. We paid 50.00 PER night & absolutely did not get what we paid for, feel mislead as far as their website stating things but being VERY different from what was stated, and can not recommend. Our advice is to go elsewhere if you are seeking serene, quiet & a honest campground.

We stayed here overnight, great site for our 30ft RV, girls in the office for the "meet and greet" where fantastic , i was also given on request their nail tech"s address (great job) . As to other reviews re : the highway noise, turn on your a/c, no problem. We have stayed in hundreds of RV parks across the US on our road trips x4 and trust me this park standards was wonderful.
