Me and my friend went to Burren yoga for 1 week retreat, I have to say this is one of the best vacation I ever had. Every day, we started off the day with a morning yoga, follow by a healthy choice of breakfast, out for a activity, (my favorite is the rock climbing and beach walk), then we will... More

I had an extraordinary week at the Burren Yoga Centre. David Meusham's teaching was revelatory (he doesn't teach much any more, so getting him was a coup). I met a great crowd of people - all new to me - on the course. The vegetarian, home-cooked food, by Ríona and Paddi, especially the home-made loaves every morning, was a delight.... More

The yoga teaching with Caroline Downey was amazing - the food lovingly cooked and served by Paddi wonderful - as for the rest of it AWFUL stressful and truly not my idea of relaxtion - I paid extra for a single room which was the size of my linen cupboard - 15 people sharing 4 bathrooms not good - bedlinen/duvet... Dear Maggie Sapiets, Many thanks for your feedback. One of the aims of karma yoga is for the practitioner to identify inner conflicts that may lead to anger or unhappiness, and over time to help let go those inner conflicts. This is one of the first steps in learning how to let go of inner obstacles in order to get... More

The Burran is a winner before you even go, match that with a great yoga teacher and great great people (whom nobody had ever met before) and it is simply amazing. The center itself is too small to cater for 15 people for a week. All paying guests at 690 euro each for fri -thurs. The kitchen/dining area is too... More

Dear Brenda, Karma yoga is one of the oldest forms of yoga, and is an important ingredient in all authentic yoga ashrams and centres. It is designed to help root out negative inner conflicts that one may hold, and may hold one back in life. We implement it in a small way at the yoga centre where the retreat participants... More

I spent an amazing week here with a fabulous group of people and our wonderful yoga teacher Bella Hancock. Having read many of the other positive reviews, I would just like to confirm all the great things said about the place. I "floated away", spiritually and physically renewed. Not one negative aspect to report. I'll be back.

The week at the Burren Yoga & Meditation Centre was amazing! It went beyong my expectations. The centre itself is perfectly located: in the Burren which already by itself has a soothing effect. Just being there has something meditative. After our daily morning meditation and yoga practice, breakfast was provided for us with everything being organic! The selection of organic... More

This was my first time at a yoga retreat but most definitely will not be my last. It was such a great experience, from start to finish. The setting is beautiful, even in the rain!! Uma Dinsmore Tulli's retreat, yoga for women's health and vitality at the Burren Centre, was a truly unique and wonderful experience. Uma is generous of heart, inspiring with her wisdom and knowledge and most importantly, light and happy in spirit! The Burren Centre provides simple accommodation, but it is that simplicity which makes it the perfect escape from the madness... More
