As a regular visitor to Kinvara I was so disappointed yet again. This hotel is now under new ownership and I was so excited to give it my support as a family owned hotel. The food is more miss than hit and Robbie may be fantastic but many of the staff are indifferent. I believe the owner is very nice...

I stayed in the Merriman Hotel for 4 days and could not find a single fault. The rooms were spotless & clean and the food could not be faulted. Also the staff were very friendly and helpfull. The Guiness in the Merriman bar was the best i have ever tasted. I highly recommend this hotel.

I never write reviews but I feel it my duty to write this one!!!! I went to the Merriman for lunch with my mother. It was not only awful but a danger! We ordered a chowder with smoked haddock fish cakes and a fish pie. The fish pie was in fact the chowder with a dollop of mashed potatoes and...

My Family and I along with many relatives stayed here at the beautiful Merriman for a night. To say the area alone is beautiful the Thatch Roof of this Hotel adds to the charm of its setting. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the banter was good. We stayed in a Family Room and you got what you...

Stayed here for 1 night just after Christmas and found it a very pleasant stay . Rooms were clean and comfortable . My only fault would be the smell of stale smoke on arrival was noticeable . We had lovely bar food they have a good variety on their menu and the breakfast the next morning was the best I've...

Chose this place because it was known as the only thatch-roofed hotel in Ireland and because it was right in the city. The room was nicely furnished and comfortable. The hotel bar was quaint. Loved the breakfast, which included a buffet and an 'Irish breakfast'. Service was impeccable. Nothing fancy, but it's historic, efficient, and a nice room for the...

As a couple we stayed in the Merriman Hotel in early September. On a arriving there on Friday afternoon we pulled into the private car park at the rear of the hotel with an Atlantic storm in full swing. Struggling to get our bags for the car in wind and rain an employee who was working in the kitchen came...

Thank God for The Merriman Hotel and the overnight we had there this weekend past. Floods prevented us getting to see Santa in the Aillwee Caves on Sunday morning but at least our 3 children had the adventure of a hotel stay in The Merriman the night before. We found the hotel warm, cosy and very nicely decorated for Christmas....

I had the pleasure of staying at The Merriman on October 30th and 31st 2015 and I have to say our experience at the hotel and Kinvara Ireland was one of the best experiences Ive ever had while traveling!! We had been dropped off there by a friend while we waited for the house we had rented to come available...
