A magical place for Christmas or at night. The lighting is beautiful the running water everywhere hypnotic. We loved it at a wedding yesterday. The food was good the service excellent but it is the surroundings that sell it. Had a look around one of the accommodations and was mightily impressed. Definitely down for another visit.

I had really intended to go for it once my wedding was over - set up a blog detailing every example of the shocking service I had. With the passage of time and a busy life I haven't done so but I just had an email from the hotel group (although I have tried to unsubscribe several times), so here... More

We visited the canal cafe for an early lunch. The staff were friendly and service was excellent. The menu has changed for the worse since I was here two years ago. It's gone quite expensive too. There were no daily specials. I had the seafood chowder which was delicious. A soup of the day would be better than the 2... More

I attended a wedding here in August and it is just stunning. It was beautifully decorated - I loved the old world feel to it. The food was amazing and the staff were very attentive. I loved the gardens & the courtyard - it was nice to get out for some fresh air after dinner.

Service poor and slow in the canal cafe. There were only 5 other people there! The wine we ordered was out of stock, then we chose another bottle from the list of 3, Pinot Gris, and a Pinot Grigio was served. Never asked us to taste the wine. Red wine was cold. Service in L'Orangerie was very disappointing from most... More

From the moment that we checked in with Mariane and Nicola superhelpul ladies at reception we felt special. We stayed at the Irelandia suite which was superb and very relaxing. We went for a 3 new course dinner where Thierry the somelier looked after us with an organic fixxy rose champagne which was delicious; to continue we allowed him to... More

Went there last week and had nice meal, great attention to detail and fine dining. It is in a beautiful setting not far from Celbridge. The restaurant is really nicely decorated and staff friendly and attentive.

Beautiful location for accommodation and dinner. The Orangery is a fairytale location for dinner. The menu choices were excellent and the waiters where lovely and knowledgeable about menu choices and wine menus. We will definitely return here for dinner and overnight stay. The canal cafe offers a lovely location for lunch or afternoon tea.

I attended my friends wedding here and myself and my wife had the opportunity to stay over and we were very impressed. We were greeted at reception and checked in and directed to our room which was very impressive. The room we stayed in is a short walk through the courtyard and beside the pond. The room was of a high... More

We recently attended a wedding here & stayed the night. Beautiful venue, excellent food & attentive staff. Will definitely return! The gardens are so peaceful, there's a feeling of being miles from anywhere - yet it's a very well located oasis.
