The room was nice, clean and spacious although a little noisy in the morning. We are not early risers on a weekend and other guests having breakfast and then leaving through the front door (which was right by our room) and children playing out the back early morning did disturb our "lie in", which was only until 8.45am, due to...

We had two overseas visitors stay with Orla and family recently - they were utterly enthralled both by their hostess, her two lovely little daughters, the house, the breakfast, and the Irish welcome. Every visitor we have from now on will be staying in this wonderful home from home. Thanks Orla and greetings from Marie Claude and Monique!

Usually I wouldn't bother writing these reviews but two family friends who stayed in this B&B insisted I did! We had two visitors over from France last week for a wedding and both of them stayed in Mill Lane B&B. When dropping them to the airport at the end of their stay they couldn't begin to explain how accommodating and...

Our family of two adults and two teenagers stayed for one night en route to our holiday cottage in County Kerry. Orla was very helpful, via email, when booking the room and welcoming when we arrived. The room was comfortable and clean and the sitting room pleasant. We were surprised and a little disappointed that there was no cooked breakfast...

Firstly , having booked the room a few days before I had to wait for someone to arrive at the guest house to let me . The bathroom was not clean. There were long hairs in the shower and the toilet needed a good clean. Even the towels were not up to scratch . I went to make myself a...

My husband and I and several friends stayed in this B&B at the beginning of October 2011. I guess we should have been wary when my sister in law warned that when she phoned to book a room the owner advised they only had an apartment left and that this was probably a bit cold, though would probably be fine........

Thank you for your comments although they are somewhat puzzling as they do relate mostly to self catering accommodation. We acknowledge that you got a friendly welcome, your B&B bedroom was nice and clean. The booking was made by a 3rd party (the birthday host) who was clearly advised that as the four B&B rooms were booked, limited additional guests...

My father and I stayed while I was in Ireland on business. Orla and her husband are fantastic hosts and really went out of their way to help us with our traveling arrangements. Beautiful, clean, great breakfast. Lovely walks from the house in and about town were a bonus.

“We had a room within the main house which was nice (although see comments above re noise); other guests in my party had to sleep in outdoor annexes which were not nearly as good and this was not reflected in the price they paid (the same as us).”
