Nestled on 1,000 acres of undulating Irish countryside, dotted with ancient woodland and glittering lakes, Castle Leslie Estate is one of the last great Irish Castle estates still in the hands of its founding family. Located in Co. Monaghan, Ireland, the Estate is only 80 minutes from Dublin and 60 minutes from Belfast. The Castle (21 individual guestrooms), at the heart of the Estate, offers authentic original interiors and old-style hospitality and is a complete respite from the world. The Lodge (50 guestrooms) is the social hub of the Estate and brings locals and guests together in an atmosphere of conviviality and comfort. The two-bedroom Old Stable Mews is the perfect spot for families and groups that want the convenience of hotel living combined with private luxury home rental. A host of activities are on offer including horse riding, pike fishing, boating, walking trails, archery, clay target shooting, hot air balloon rides, falconry and spa treatments.

I wanted to arrange special occasion for my 80 year old uncle. I contacted Miriam and her team and they went above and beyond for us. From the first email to our last experience....the team there are what makes Irish hospitality the best in the world. We had a private dining experience with impeccable Irish charm and service and delicious food and amazing cocktails. The following day we had Afternoon Tea which was one of the best Afternoon Teas I have had (and I've been to The Ritz in London). We also had to go back for more cocktails they were so good. If you want to treat yourself or someone you love...this is the place to do it.

Hotel's Favourite
We attended Castle Leslie for a wedding and it was fabulous. Each room was so warm and welcoming at the hotel . We stayed at the lodge and the room was simply gorgeous, wished we stayed a bit longer to explore more around the estate . The breakfast at the Snaffle was the best meal I ever had , so fresh and tasty . The staff were so accommodating and friendly especially the trip we made between the Lodge and Hotel . Hope I will visit there again.

We are just back from a one night stay here, was a great experience, we got complimentary bubbles and canapés which was a lovely touch. Dinner in Connors bar was beautiful and so was breakfast. A great choice on the menu. We also booked a visit to the spa with our own private hot tub. A lovely treat.

Beyond expectations. Once you enter the gates you don't need to or want to leave. But when you do, the local people and business's of Glaslough and Monaghan are just an extension of the experience. People were so kind, so relaxed and so professional with a true flair of an Irish welcome and you are forced to 'slow down' .

Having received a phone call from Castle Leslie FIVE days prior to our check in date and asking what time we want to eat in the restaurant FIVE days prior to arrival is ridiculous. I'd like to know why an exclusive hotel such as Castle Leslie would need to know this. I don't know what time I'd like to eat dinner at today and yet I'm expected to know what time I'd like to eat dinner at in five days time. Seriously!!!!

Honestly, I love this place. Service and food is fantastic. I hope to be back soon! Everything is relaxed yet very professional, staff are attentive yet not overbearing. You will need wellies or walking boots as grounds are muddy in places.
