We stayed at philmar house for one night and when we arrived we met our host, who showed us our room which was very bright and tidy. The bathroom was small but the shower was comfortable. Our host gave us a sheet where we could decide what we're going to eat in the morning. Our host gave us some good...

We found this a good, quiet (well back from the not-busy main road), and very clean B&B, reasonably-priced and no money was taken in advance. It was easy to find and ideal for visiting Sligo whilst not being in the busy town. Bedrooms on the ground floor were good for disabled access and for looking-out onto lovely gardens. En-suite facilities...

I stayed here in July from Friday to Monday! The hotel is right in the middle between rosses point and Sligo city centre! 5 min drive each way! So for me that was great! Mary the host couldn't be nicer! And as she's a local she gives you great advice about places to go or things to see! The place...

Four of us stayed in two double rooms recently. As I'm a wheelchair user it can be difficult finding a suitable room, but Mary gave us our choice and we stayed in a lovely double with ensuite. Mary was a perfect host - she welcomed us , gave us tea and lovely cake and then left us in peace to...

Rooms are nice and cozy. The owner is very nice, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was ok. I have been there in the winter and I found the room a bit cold. After a day out, coming back to my room and finding out that the heater was cold was indeed not a nice surprise. It warmed up after a while,...

We stayed here for two nights while attending a conference in the nearby Radisson Hotel. Mary could not have been more helpful. When a friend had to stay as an extra in our room due to a mix up with another hostel, Mary was very accommodating and offered our friend breakfast. The room and facilities were clean, well stocked and...

Philmar House is a beautiful Bed & Breakfast and Mary was so nice. We arrived after making online reservations to find that Mary was fully booked. She explained that same day online reservations can be very inaccurate. She was so helpful in arranging another B & B. Her property and gardens are beautiful and we felt really let down that...

Clean, comfortable, quiet room in a welcoming home An excellent location with beautiful grounds. Close by Rosses Point for golf and restaurants. Our host Mary could not have been nicer. Besides providing delicious, generous breakfasts with homemade breads, she went the extra mile and dried our rain-soaked golf gear. We would happily return!
