We are not usually B&B users having had some unfortunate experiences in the past. However our recent visit to Hillside House changed everything. Ann couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful even dropping us to our function in Gorey. The room and bed were comfortable and the breakfast was lovely, traditional and cooked to order. Well worth a stay.

Ann was very welcoming on arrival. The breakfast was fantastic, I was given a choice of the preferred time of breakfast, you had everything you need. Comfortable room with electric blanket, I came in March, so a little cold, the electric blanket was very much welcomed and fantastic views. Very clean and homely house. Too far to walk into town,...

This was our first trip to Ireland and our first time ever staying in a B&B. I searched on hotels.com for hotels and B&B's near Gorey. Our friend's niece was getting married and we were invited to the wedding/after party. As I searched online for places to stay I kept coming back to the Hillside House. I emailed the owner,...

We arrived to a warm welcome from Anne the landlady. There was a fine view of Tara Hill (not to be confused with the Hill of Tara) from our room with ensuite bathroom. Very comfortable mattress and lovely crisp white bed linen and soft towels. Anne is a kind and helpful landlady. Good and generous breakfast.

Just what you want from a B&B. Rooms were spacious, clean & light, and the breakfasts were delicious. Ann, who runs the b&b is friendly and helpful and always keen to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We were greeted with tea & homemade cake. As we needed a relaxing early night on our first night we were able...

We (wife and I) stayed for two nights this weekend whilst visiting friends in the area. Anne and her family could not have been any more attentive if they tried, the room we had (5) was spacious and spotless, it had a neat but small bathroom and was really really warm, which was lovely. The breakfast in the morning was...
