Average village hotel in Wicklow. There are refugees living in the adjoining building, and they use the hotel main entrance to access the kitchen and laundry. There was a lot of noise the last night, but in fairness the owner was apologetic and gave us a small discount. Our room was basic but o.k. and the parking was free.

The web pictures must have been taken years ago, because this place is damp, cold and poorly maintained. There were a group of men staying obviously long-term, who looked like asylum seekers. I personally have no problem with this, but some families might feel intimidated by men hanging around the front door smoking at all hours. Staff were unavailable to...

Our host, Mr. Lawler, was a veritable historian of the town. Don't think dry facts and anecdotes, either. He brought the history of the town ALIVE with stories and old sepia-toned photographs from his own youth and family. You could look out the window of Tynte House and just SEE what he was describing. He was such good company -...

Enjoyed our stay from top to bottom. The man of the house, John was an absolute gentleman and even gave us a drive to the wedding reception a few miles down the road. An absolutely handsome breakfast in the morning as well and i couldn't recommend the place highly enough.

We stayed here due to the all Ireland football match soaking up the accommodation near Dublin. As it happened, there was a great ballad session on in the Dunlavin Arms. A nice village, very close to many places worth seeing, e. g., glendalough. Thanks, John.

My husband and I recently stayed at Tynte House, and we loved it. Our room was a lovely one with period touches, the comfiest bed and blankets and an old family wedding portrait from the turn of the last century was hanging on the wall. John is a wonderful host and cook! Our breakfast was delicious (and made by John),...

It's hard to believe some of the positive reviews that I have read about Tynte B/B on this page, I can't understand why Rathsallagh House keep recommending it for wedding guest attending heir wedding receptions. Yes the owner and staff (young girl) are very friendly and helpful but that's where the good part ends. From the first sight the premises...
