We had an amazing 3 days long stay at the Derrymore House! Pat was very responsive by email when we were planning our trip and Penny took very, very good care of us while we were there! The breakfast is everything you can dream of and we could never finish all our food. The lunch packs provided on demand are...

Even more beautiful than the photographs in the travel books, Glendalough is at once peaceful and spectacular. And you can see the lake and the surrounding fifty shades of green from your bedroom window at Derrymore House. The grounds around the house itself are gorgeous (see the photos), the house is quite comfortable, and we had the best Irish breakfast...

We spent 3 nights at Derrymore House in a fabulous room which also included our own sitting room as a wonderful bonus. It had magnificent views of the lakes and mountains and we had brilliant walking weather. Breakfast was excellent and we did have a packed lunch on one of our walking days which was great value for money -...

My sisters and I spent our first night in Ireland in this lovely B&B. Located on a beautiful mountainside overlooking Lower Lake, this inn was the perfect place to hike or just sit and enjoy the magnificent views. The beds were so comfortable, and the food was fantastic. I would definitely stay here again, and will recommend to others traveling...

My friend and I spent 2 nights here in April 2014 and I must say it was amazing. I can not fault the area and further more I can not fault Derrymore House. Penny and Pat made our stay fantastic with great food and warm hospitality. Breakfast is that of champions and the bed was like floating on a cloud....

My husband and I spent two nights at Derrymore House. We loved our room ... actually a sitting room and bedroom... had large windows and views of the mountains and lake. Penny, the owner, was gracious and breakfast was delicious. There were ancient trees and colorful flowers and walking paths. It is a perfect place for those who love nature,...

We stayed in Derrymore House in August 2013 for four unforgettable nights in the lovely Wicklow-Mountain-Countryside. The B&B is situated in the scenic Vale of Glenadlough, close to the ruins of the old monastic settlement and with an adorable view onto the Lower Lake. It's the perfect basis for hiking-tours into the nearby mountainside, with waterfalls, rivers, wild deers and...

“If WIFI is important, it seemed the wifi worked best in the family room. (I am unsure about the reception in the double room next to the family room.) It was difficult getting a connection in the double rooms next to the breakfast/lounge room. I liked the family room, which was a corner room with three beds. I believe the air circulation was better than some other rooms, but a fan was still needed. The view was best in the family room and the double next to it since they face the front of the house and the mountains and lake beyond.”
