Can't recommend this place enough. We were staying in Achill and could not find anywhere open for dinner (,2nd WK September). We landed here and on first sight were not confident. Walked in and we were warmly greeted by the owner lady. We had a drink and ordered fish and chips and a baby bowl which arrived quickly. The male...

We have spent a wonderful week in Achil and dined at the Achill Sound Hotel. Peter and all his staff were so welcoming and great fun! They also looked after us so well. The food also was very good and we didn't want to dine anywhere else. We have taken away such happy memories and hope to stay at this...

Charming country family run business. We stayed Saturday night. Room clean and comfy. Great staff. We had dinner in the bar and food was great. Evening music and roaring stove fire. What more could we ask for! Peter and his family are very welcoming and show Irish hospitality at its best. Many thanks.

We tried this yum place yesterday after cycling along the Greenway to Achill. I had the Fish, chips & mushy peas. The fish was super fresh & melted in the mouth. The servers were very friendly & accommodating. They provided us with some games while we waited for the food. Everyone loved their food & the Guinness was superb!

The hotel really needs investment. It smells so musty. Very old fashioned decor. Loved the island but not this accommodation. Our toilet did not work properly and the shower head had a leak. The windows are draughty.

Had the pleasure of taking a group of cyclists on wild Atlantic way north tour and stayed at this gorgeous quaint hotel run by Peter and Loretta. What a lovely family. Weather was miserable for summer but a lovely turf fire to take chill off the very wet and tired cyclists. Beautiful meal and great music afterwards and the full...

This hotel is very easy to find and the perfect place to stay when visiting Achill island. It is family run and is all that traditional Irish hospitality has to offer. The family are extremely nice and couldn't do more for us. I will recommend to everyone I know and I will stay again
