We stayed in a self catering cottage in Achill Sound at Easter. After our first visit to the Achill Sound Hotel and because of the warm welcome from Peter, we popped in to visit every day of our stay. The food was delicious, the customers chatted at the bar and it was hard to leave. Our kids had fun playing...

Excellent location, good food, nice people serving (is a family place) and ambience. Just passing the bridge you'll find the hotel, is a perfect place to explore the island. You can stay there or stop for food or a drink. With a car park in front of the premises. I highly recommend this place, you'll feel there among friends, better...

Can't recommend this place enough. We were staying in Achill and could not find anywhere open for dinner (,2nd WK September). We landed here and on first sight were not confident. Walked in and we were warmly greeted by the owner lady. We had a drink and ordered fish and chips and a baby bowl which arrived quickly. The male...

Charming country family run business. We stayed Saturday night. Room clean and comfy. Great staff. We had dinner in the bar and food was great. Evening music and roaring stove fire. What more could we ask for! Peter and his family are very welcoming and show Irish hospitality at its best. Many thanks.

We tried this yum place yesterday after cycling along the Greenway to Achill. I had the Fish, chips & mushy peas. The fish was super fresh & melted in the mouth. The servers were very friendly & accommodating. They provided us with some games while we waited for the food. Everyone loved their food & the Guinness was superb!

The hotel really needs investment. It smells so musty. Very old fashioned decor. Loved the island but not this accommodation. Our toilet did not work properly and the shower head had a leak. The windows are draughty.
