Every time I return to Jersey I have a meal at the Somerville this year I have stayed there after having recommended it to so many people. My lovely room is garden room number three, ithas a fabulous bathroom with only one small thing missing: a magnifying mirror. Over 50's really appreciate those, I think. Comfortable bed, very important, so...

We have just had the most amazing lunch at the Somerville. From the minute we were greeted at the door we felt welcome and all the staff are brilliant. The 3 course set lunch with coffee has to be the best value in Jersey, everything freshly prepared and beautifully presented. I'd mentioned when booking that it was our anniversary and...

Just stayed here recently with a voucher one of the children bought us for Christmas - it was a bit like Fawlty Towers - the lift is not working as they are installing a new one - the steps are okay going up but quite steep with high heels on coming down. The room was beautiful but the bath water...

Just had an overnight stay with dinner & breakfast as a joint christmas present. This was booked with a discount voucher which in no way impacted on the service or quality of the food. We have eaten at this hotel many times over the years as a couple & in family groups for special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries etc....

Went here with my family for afternoon tea and couldn't fault it. I requested no cheese sandwiches and they were very accommodating and gave me an alternative without a fuss. The cakes are all baked daily at the hotel and are very fresh. Scones were warm and we got enough for everyone. Would highly recommend going here for afternoon tea....

We are between houses so we booked in here until we could move in to our new home. Absolutely brilliant hotel, the food is fantastic, what a chef. The hotel has been undergoing refurbishment and in fact the lift wasn't working but rooms are now all finished and thaws and the public area are lovely. Well worth a stay

Spent a few days here whilst visiting family. Unfortunately the lift was being refurbished but the Portuguese manager kindly carried our bags up to our second floor. The room was small but cosy with a large comfortable bed; good size bath/shower room and a tv, kettle etc. Enjoyed the biscuits! Would have liked a bedside table with drawer rather than...

Many thanks for your review, I'm delighted that you thoroughly enjoyed your stay but thank you also for pointing out areas that you felt could be improved. All points are noted and will be addressed with the team. The lift is being replaced with a new one as part of our continual investment in the property and should be in...

A large Edwardian pile dominating the hill overlooking St Aubin's jolly little harbour where the mostly elderly rusting boats sit permanently moored without moving, rather like the residents of this hotel. Swirling carpets and continual instrumental music permanently pipes around the lounge and dining area without a rest..mostly oap couples sit silently eating in the dining room that achieves a...
