As we hadn't been to Jersey before so we put our hotel and island location choice totalling in the hands of Tripadvisor

Steve and Jane and their team are all excellent. We were extremely satisifed with the service we received. This was our second visit and we'll be back again next year. The atmosphere is friendly and homely, our room was very comfortable and you can never...More
The hotel is simple, unpretentious but with 2 key assets: the most beautiful view and a team of delightful staff, notably in the restaurant. Warm, friendly and apparently happy to be there and working together, they create a lovely atmosphere.
I just spent a lovely five days in this lovely hotel nestled up the hill in St Brelades Bay. This is a family run hotel and you feel that as soon as you arrive here. I booked this hotel last minute as I needed to...More

Eddie, I can answer as far as the Hotel is concerned, you are probably also looking for a cross section of responses from Guests. We are in an elevated position which gives us the most amazing views. Mont Gras D'Eau is a green lane, green lane (means that traffic is controlled to 15mph maximum and right of way to pedestrians) that winds back up from the beach. It takes an average walker between 6 and 8 minutes down the hill and about double that on the way back, however I try and describe it, it is uphill some sections quite gradual some a little steeper.
We are a popular Hotel with many guests, to the vast majority of those the hill is worth the effort but no doubt an inconvenience to some. There is ample public car parking in the bay if a car is an option for you and also a public bus (No 14 route) which brings you back up to the top level near to the Windmills Hotel avoiding the uphill walk altogether.
I hope this has been helpful
