Living in France, I needed to visit St Helier to get new glasses. The Alister Guest House was ideal for my visit. Some parking, but ten minutes walk from the town centre. Clear and bright the staff were helpful and welcoming. The Full English was excellent!!

Starting with the positives, pretty good location on a quiet street a few minutes walk from the town centre. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was adequate and reasonably tasty. Wi-fi worked well in certain spots, found most guests went to the communal room for a better signal. My room was clean enough but the shower room was rather cramped. Negatives...walls... More

Lovely hosts run this small private establishment. Located on a quiet street a few minutes walk into the main shopping area of St Helier. Had the last room which was a single with wash hand basin in the room. I did have sole use of the bathroom which was next door. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Wi-fi worked... More

Very friendly and clean B&B. Jackie and Peter couldn't be more helpful. Lovely cooked breakfast. Rooms maybe a bit basic but have everything you need and very clean. You do need to be able to climb stairs though. I will definitely be back. If you are looking for a good value bed and breakfast this is for you.

I have just spent a week at the Alister and it came up trumps. Peter and Jackie did everything they could to make my stay a pleasant experience. The room had an en suite and, while not being luxurious was perfectly comfortable and good value for money. I shall definitely stay again

Had phoned the previous day to see if I could check in early as the ferry arrived at lunchtime. Was told no problem just turn up. On arrival no reply to ringing the bell, found the door open so called... More

We stayed in Room 4 for a long weekend (we did go out though, several times). The room itself was clean and relatively modern. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows/cushions. The wardrobe was a good size with quite a few hangers, including some very well shaped ones. The room had a nice big sash window with views over... More
