We booked to stay for 5 nights in st helier, last minute. However there were only 2 hotels left for the dates we wanted at a reasonable price - that also offered free private parking and free wifi. We picked this hotel for the parking and wifi. I would describe this hotel as a budget friendly hotel. It offers rooms...

So....this was a very last minute booking for three nights over the August bank holiday weekend. The Almorah is difficult to describe succinctly. The good stuff: convenient location, big view, very clean and quiet and a helpful and smiley manager. The not so good: hasn't been refurbished since the 70s, truly remarkable decor! The shower was feeble and whilst warm...

Me and my mum stayed here for 4 nights from the 21st July and the gentleman that owns it is so accommodating and friendly. We arrived before check in time but our room was ready so we went up and the room is just what we were looking for, it was homely and warm and the views day and night...

The couple that run this hotel are warm, friendly and care that their customers enjoy their stay and will put themselves out to make sure that things run smoothly. The rooms are charming and the hotel is furnished in a nostalgic style that is interesting and works. It made a lovely change from the minimalistic pristine look to being in...

A basic hotel in a good situation with views over the harbour - some with balcony, if you have a room at the front. The rooms are in need of updating but comfortable - mine was en suite and had a new, flat screen TV. Free Wi-Fi is a useful bonus. Breakfast quality (full English) is excellent. A 20 minute...

Very friendly, clean and comfortable. Owners very helpful on all aspects of stay. Room with Balcony has views to Elizabeth Castle. For a basic clean friendly hotel I would recommend this hotel and value for money.

The Almorah is a traditional English hotel in both the good and the bad senses. On the plus side, the staff is quite friendly, although occasionally, their English can be a bit weak. I think they worked hard to try and do the best they could with the hotel. On the negative side, my mother and I had reserved two...

Couldn't fault the staff - polite, helpful and efficient. Nice breakfast and cracking views over St.Helier, didn't pay much either...... But I'm afraid the hotel is so dated. Our room was drafty, the furnishings old and the bathroom was in dire need of updating. There's only 5 or 6 parking spaces for 16 rooms and with no lifts, the hike...
