This was an ok stay at an ok hotel. This review is skewed simply because I think it was at the wrong price point when we stayed. The good bits: we arrives in the evening and all was good. It is in a "castle" of sorts. The room was really clean and the bed was comfortable enough. Breakfast had good...

An amazing weekend. Food, accommodation and locality excellent. 5 dance workshops and then dancing in the great hall by candle and firelight on two evenings. Magical. Can't wait for the next visit in November

We had a three day break (10/04/17) at this amazing location. We were warmly greeted and shown to our delightful accommodation. A beautifully clean and bright room with a wonderful view and en suite. The bed was not only extremely comfortable, but the bedding pristine and lavish. Breakfasts were presented with a conscientious, but uncomplicated ease, tasty and plentiful. Our...

Stayed here for one night on Saturday April 1st. We stayed in a quaint thatched cottage in a comfortable room upstairs. The curator John is friendly, helpful and the place is quite laid back. Our room was clean, nicely furnished and we were able to choose from a continental breakfast, included in the price or a hot breakfast, for which...

Me and my boyfriend stayed for two nights over Valentine's Day and couldn't have had a nicer time! We were greeted by John the host when we arrived who showed us to our room and had answers for all of our questions, and gave us his personal recommendations for things to do nearby which was a nice touch - he...

We had an excellent stay at Bickleigh Castle. Our room was very clean with a good ensuite with lovely shower. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and very friendly staff. There are some deep stone stairs outside the property to climb (not many) to get to the room. The only thing I didn't like was I felt...

Just wanted to post a review for the lovely owners of the castle. They kindly let us take some rocks from their land. We have been to the castle and been shown around as part of a wedding party and the grounds and castle is beautiful. We live in the nearby village and are lucky enough to benefit from the...
