This a great place to go with kids. It has loads of space, a tennis court, squash court and indoor and outdoor swimming pool. The rooms are comfortable and we had a great view. The restaurant in the hotel is quite old fashioned with a dress code and seemed quite pricey for what it is. It wasn't our scene, but...

Another hotel in the Brend Group, the location, and views are unbeatable. The restaurant and lounges look out over the sea and miles of golden sand and sand dunes. Ample car parking and welcoming, polite and friendly staff. The building is Art Deco style, and much of the interior follows the same theme. Nothing tired about this hotel. We had...

We stayed at Saunton Sands from Sunday 9th to Weds 12 April. Totally agree with everything people have said about the position, the rooms and the facilities. They are superb but our stay was less than perfect because the food and restaurant service was not as top notch as we expected. Breakfast was a bit chaotic - no one seemed...

Saunton Sands Hotel is truly special, the hotel takes you back to the heady times of the Art Deco period with all the luxury of what we expect today of a 4 star hotel. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, the food was very good, breakfast and dinner and the scones were the best...

We have stayed at this hotel many times and have never been disappointed. Pay the extra for a sea view room it is well worth it. If you want a quiet break avoid kids holiday times as it can get rather busy but not over crowded.

How lovely to hear from a regular guest, I would agree that the sea view can't be beat! We do try our best to make each and every day as relaxing as possible but inevitably do get busier during the holidays - Anthony Kingdon

Room excellent, sea view, adjoining room for the grandchildren and they did not want to come home. Kids programme brilliant and would highly recommend for families. Food brilliant and plenty of choice.

The hotel enjoys a superb position and is extremely comfortable, very helpful staffition the and well appointed with many facilities. We paid a top price for a rather small room as this was all that was available. It was disappointing that we were not given access to our room until after 16.30.In addition the (above bath) shower head could not be fixed...

Our first visit. We loved it. Our sea view room was beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The fine dining restaurant lives up to its styling. The menu is pleasantly varied and the presentation of every dish we tried was thoughtfully presented with delightful complementary flavours, textures and colour, and inventive without being OTT. The wine list is extensive, and there...

This is an art-deco style hotel that is maintained to a very high standard. The setting on the cliff top overlooking the huge beach is just fantastic. The car park seems small for the number of bedrooms. The grounds include children's' play equipment, an outdoor pool and path directly to the beach. Indoors there are sports, leisure and spa facilities...
