Hotel is being refurbished but friendly host and excellent value. Great full English breakfast. Bedrooms need to be improved . Should be great next year. Strange internal layout due to the age of the building.

Stayed here for a night on a trip to Brixham. The hotel is being renovated as was recently purchased by new owners. The room was good and no ghost. Breakfast was very nice too. Would stay there again.

This hotel is under new management and when my wife and I arrived the new owners were a week into their ownership of the hotel. The hotel is situated in the heart of the town and the amenities were great. The owner let us book in early and both were very friendly and helpful Breakfast was very tasty and with...

This place is very much a work in progress. The new owners had only been there for a week and are in the process of refurbishing - no bar or restaurant when we stayed, but great breakfast. Parking is not the best but if a b&b is defined by the welcome and friendly attitude of the owners then this place...

Management response:

We took over the operation of the hotel on the 2nd of September and feel that we have completed a lot of work in the short time we have been in residence. We will continue with the refurbishment as quickly as we can but do need to bear in mind the potentilal disturbance to our guests. We serve breakfast everyday...

There was a problem getting any reception on the phone, had to go out side. The hotel dies have a restaurant, but not open when we arrived, new owners just organising everything, will be open in...

We stayed here for the first time this week, though we have visited several times before when there was a restaurant, though the restaurant is no longer open. The room we had was a good size with a comfortable bed and large bathroom. The breakfast was just the right size for us with a good choice. The owners were very...

Overall our time here was fine - clean room but beyond extremely dated and smelt of old furniture! The breakfast slot of 1 hour between 8-9 means no weekend lay in and waitress broke into a stress sweat as everyone arrived the same time more or less! Saturday we had to miss our breakfast ! But that was of course...

I only stayed for one night and was leaving early in the morning so was looking for something cheap and close to the centre of Brixham. The owner was very welcoming and very kindly agreed to make me some bacon sandwiches to take away because I was leaving before breakfast. The room itself was a very generous size with all...
