Took my friend for a meal in this stunning location. I had been told that the Sunday carvery is very good so thought that we would have a great meal. She said her well done rump steak was good however my haddock was dry and overdone. A shame as the hotel is in a lovely position.

Have lived in the Brixham / Paignton area since 1965 and have always considered The Berry Head Hotel to be one of the leading hotels in Torbay. Have not stayed at the BHH but have been to the restaurant and bars a number of times and always found staff very pleasant and food to be well prepared. My wife and...

Divine location. Never been to Exmouth before so glad we stayed in this hotel, perfect for town one way and beautiful beach and scenery the other. Parking was a nightmare, not many spaces. Hotel is a beautiful building with superb views - we had a sea view room. Bit dated but well refurbished though we had the worst shower ever!...

Visited here with a group of friends for a few nights. Situated just below the Head itself, it sits on the cliff edge with a view from the terrace right across Torbay; a great venue for a peaceful drink and/or snack. There appeared to be lively business from non residents so the hotel is very popular. The hotel has a...

We came here for high tea. My father had the full works, and had to take some of it away! Really good value for money, lots of cake variations and lovely, light sandwiches. I had a smoked salmon sandwich, which came with a generous serving of salad, and vegetable crisps. This was washed down, with lashings of Earl Grey. This...

We booked to have cream teas at the Berry Head Hotel because of its fabulous views over Torbay. We were shown indoors to a laid out table with plenty of tea and coffee. The scones were lovely and light and we were given two per person, although one would have done. Everything was lovely and for just over £5 per...

Looks nice on the outside but our brief stop for refreshments was a disappointing experience. Poor, slow service with staff that had no sense of urgency at all. The scones for the cream tea weren't particularly nice, the hot chocolates were alright and to top it off....a luke warm banana milkshake was a poor nesquick imitation! The sign outside says...

Excellent location with spectacular views. Comfortable rooms. The food in the restaurant was very disappointing with fish dishes being overcooked. Also the chef had no understanding to adapt dishes for customers who requested changes to a specific dish due to personal tastes
