Gorgeous setting for a restful few days meandering around this part of Devon. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful with local information and places to visit. Accomodation is delightful, English Country at its best!

Stayed here for 3 nights and was not disappointed. Had a double room (Moors Room) which was very cosy, bed was so comfortable and so were the pillows, tastefully decorated to suit the cottage. Choice of Breakfast had Full English 1st morning, 3 Egg Omelette with mushrooms bacon and cheese on the 2nd and scrambled egg on toasted muffin with...

A very comfortable stay in lovely countryside. The room was excellent with a state of the art bathroom and lovely views to the garden and opening onto the driveway and front garden. Of a rustic nature, thoroughly enjoyable ambience, good hosts and excellent breakfasts.

We stayed in the loft room, which was spacious and comfortable, with lovely decor and furniture, and a nice en suite. Our hosts were just as nice, offering advice on where we could eat and arranging for us to have their excellent breakfast early as we had to get on the road first thing. We'll stay again when we're next...

A wonderful stay, lovely, friendly hosts and tasteful, extremely comfortable accommodation. Wish I could stay more often! I visited on two separate occasions and both times everything was absolutely a delight - the breakfasts were delicious, the bed very luxurious - just lovely.

Located on the edge of Buckfastleigh, this is an ideal setting for peace and quiet. We stayed in the loft room , which was wonderful, everything you could wish for. The best b&b I have stayed in. Right from contacting Julia to make the booking, to leaving after a 3night stay, nothing was too much trouble. We were attending a...

Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are delighted you enjoyed your recent stay with us so much. I hadn't realised I was feeding three ex rugby players - no wonder it was cooked breakfast all round for them! We really appreciate you taking the time to review us and thank you again for such lovely comments.

Having spent 5 days in Plymouth for our daughters diving competition, we all needed somewhere we could relax and unwind. Kilburn Manor was perfect. We stayed just the 2 nights, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had the top floor of the main cottage meaning our daughters and us were al together on one floor, in 2 rooms. The quality...

This was the second time we have stayed at Kilbury Manor. It is a delightful place. Perhaps 'elegant' is not the right adjective, but everything about it is tasteful and pleasing ... not least the splendid breakfasts. And all made the more memorable because of Julia's warmth and good humour.

I hope that you have managed to find space for all the plants you purchased when here and that they haven't been damaged by the frosts. Hope to see you both...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A charming 17th century Grade II listed Devon long house with four beautifully appointed rooms offering a high degree of privacy. Two of the rooms are in the converted barn and are spacious and very private with their own entrances. In the house, the two rooms are located on a separate landing, and are more cosy and traditional in style. All rooms are stylish and individually decorated, with high end bed linens and furnishings. Quietly loacted in the beautiful Dart valley on the outskirts of Buckfastleigh, mid-way between Exeter and Plymouth. We are an ideal base from which to explore both the Dartmoor National Park and the South Hams area of Devon. * AA 4 Star Highly Commended rating* WiFi * Off-street parking * Gardens * Excellent choice of breakfast using local produce - AA award winning. ... more   less

“The room I had was spacious, clean, cosy and most comfortable. High quality bedding and no skimping on costs. My room had a good tv, a comfortable arm chair, two windows (both with lovely views), coffee, tea and other beverages and storgae spage for baggage etc. The adjacent private bathroom was large, well fitted and spotlessly clean.......as was my bedroom !”
