We arrived at the Tradesmans Arms on a cold, wet February afternoon. The rain did not take away the beauty of the area. The Trademans Arms is situated in a picturesque village close to Dartmoor National Park. We were welcomed warmly and shown to our room which had a beautiful view, it was clean, comfortable and had everything you would need....

I stayed here over New Year with friends and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The pub was cosy and welcoming with a wide variety of meals available and good beer. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and there was clearly plenty of good walking to be had if only it hadn't rained quite so much. Never mind....

The pub is located in the quiet village of Scorriton on the edge of Dartmoor. It was pretty busy on Saturday evening due to the Christmas Draw taking place. Lots of locals were taking part in various games and generally having a good time. Beers are good and food was reasonable. Certainly worth a visit if you are in the...

I have always lived in towns near London, and perhaps as such, I have an image of what a country pub should be. I imagine a warm, welcoming inn, simply but rustically furnished, surrounded by beautiful rolling hills, with sheep grazing outside, serving great beers, wines & ciders and straightforward delicious food. Well - I've found it; at the Tradesmens...

Exactly as we remembered it - wonderful location, super room and this time we had the suite on top floor - I could move in permanently! Jack & Kim made us very welcome and the menu was just as good as we remembered it. Thank you everyone for another wonderful stay.

The room was not spacious but it was clean, ensuite and with great views. The breakfast nice, the eggs nearly perfect, and the old lady very pleasant. On friday night we had dinner...

The location and view from the parking lot are absolutely stunning, though, a bit tricky to find as it is a bit off the beaten track. Just be sure to pay attention to the signs to Scorriton and drive past the dairy farm on the right, then you'll see the sign for the Tradesman's Arms. Word of warning, they close...

We went to the tradesman's arms after a 2days/1 night trip in the Dartmoor park and had the chance to catch the last free room. Even if we were 3 and they had to put an extra bed in the room, we paid only a 2 persons night. A shower, a huge piece of meat and a few pints later,...

We stayed two nights at this small B&B & pub, located in the tiny town of Scoriton, a few miles from Buckfastleigh - within Dartmoor National Park. It is co-owned by four gentlemen that had frequented its pub for several years, and decided to purchase and re-open the establishment, when it closed down. I met three of these gentlemen, and...
