One inducement for booking this hotel, besides its lovely location near the moors, was being able to bring our own wine for a reasonable corkage fee. Both our dinners were worthy of the fine wines I happily dug out of my cellar. My wife and I especially enjoyed the sea bass and squid in black risotto. The dining room was...

Thank you we are really pleased you enjoyed our new menu and had a good break. Being on Dartmoor the broadband speed is sadly not sufficient to allow wifi to all bedrooms but it is offered free of charge in the public areas. Our garden rooms are all incredibly popular and guests wishing for a little more space do have...

We had 2 nights here and absolutely loved it. The rooms are very comfortable, and the hotel is in a lovely area, great walks nearby and so much to do locally. We had dinner in their restaurant on both nights, and the quality of the food, presentation and service was exceptional. Without any doubt, 10 out of 10 for the...

Stayed in The Dart room which was wonderful. Doors to an outside area which was a bonus, the bed was big and luxurious, bathroom modern and clean. We took our dog and having the boot room was genius, and made the point that dogs really are welcome. The large lounge is very nice and full of comfy sofas. All in...

A real gem in Dartmoor. Beautiful location near Castle Drogo and Chagford. Excellent staff, helpful, friendly but not intrusive. Delicious well presented food, well appointed bedrooms, cosy lounges one with log fire, perfect for dog owners with a boot room providing towels and with direct access to the extensive grounds. Good value for money, looking forward to our next visit...

Just come home from a 2 day break in this wonderful hotel. Staff were great and nothing was too much trouble for them. We stayed in the Plym room which was lovely and full of character with a very modern ensuite - fantastic power shower and lovely White Company toiletries!! We ate in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner...

We stumbled upon this hotel on our sight seeing tour and stopped for cream tea. Delious, sat outside on a sunny day, 2 scones, homemade jam and devon clotted cream, what more can you ask for?? Lovely setting and will stay here when we are next down this way.

I had followed the hotel for a while and when the opportunity of taking a few days away came we jumped at visiting the Mill End Hotel. We were not disappointed. The hotel had everything we could wish for and it felt like a home from home with comfortable lounge areas to relax in. It was even more special as...

Stayed for two nights for a friend's wedding in Chagford. Lovely interior with very welcoming staff. Comfortable beds and pleasant views into the garden. We ate breakfast on both days, and the menu was surprisingly varied with alternatives to the full English such as grilled kipper and smoke salmon and scrambled eggs. The only minor downside was the shower which...
