This was a random stop looking for dinner one evening. We popped into a couple of pubs but nothing looked very appetising to two vegetarians, then we stopped at the Sandy Park Inn. We were warmly welcomed straight away and got to enjoy an hour of being part of the local community while being served huge portions of delicious food....

What a great evening we had in this traditional Dartmoor pub. The food was amazing, the locals are welcoming and friendly and Ray and Julie are excellent hosts. The bedroom was immaculate and we have both never slept to well in a long time. We wish you both the very best and we will most certainly be back as we...

We came across this little Gem on our way to the south west that really we would rather have kept to ourselves.. It was such a great place that we booked again to stay a few days later on our way back! Ray and Julie who are the new owners were so welcoming and Ray's cooking was amazing..! Both his...

What a fantastic pub! We stumbled across it as we were staying in the area, and we weren't disappointed. As it was Easter weekend (Sat) we rang ahead to book a table that evening and the owners were more than pleased to accommodate us at 8pm. The pub and small restaurant area is just charming and very welcoming. The food...

A real locals old English pub - everyone was very friendly. Ray and Julie who have recently taken over were most hospitable and we really enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Due to a mix up we were not able to have dinner at the pub as it was a sunday when they...

I have stayed here many times before, but now it is being run by Ray and Julie it is so much better. The food was excellent and the room very comfortable. This is an excellent English Inn with a great atmosphere. Very friendly welcoming locals, a real Log Fire and I met a couple who were staying at a hotel...

A quintessentially English Inn that is well worth a visit. Greeted by a roaring fire (a welcome sight after walking from Chagford village), small and quaint is how I would describe the Bar (which is thankfully not cluttered with too many tables). The menu is not for those looking for a vast choice of snacks (though sandwiches are available). However,...

Stayed for the weekend with another couple. We were made very welcome from the moment we walked through the door. A quaint country pub with an excellent location for the East and Central portion of Dartmoor. The selection of wines and ales was first class and the evening food menu was very well prepared and of excellent quality. Breakfast offered...

We had a wonderful stay at the Sandy Park Inn. They kept the kitchen open late for us when we rang to stay we were stuck in traffic and we had a great nights sleep in very comfy beds. Breakfast was cooked fresh and tasted fab, as was dinner. Open fire, friendly hosts and the cutest, smallest guard dog you've...

We have just returned from an excellent stay at the Sandy Park Inn where we were warmly greeted and looked after by Ray and Julie the new owners of the premises. The previous bad reports from the past bear no resemblance to the actual good quality accommodation and food which now exists. The local clientele were a very friendly bunch...
