An excellent place to start or should I say finish a moor walk. The cream tea is delicious, especially the clotted cream, jam, scones and tea. I would advise you to pre-warn them of your tea time and numbers. We were twenty in a single group, but they coped wonderfully well. Tea can be had inside or out and there...

Stopped here for the first time today. I only went to the tea room & wasn't looking for accomodation. Lovely little place. I had a "Cheese tea". Nice alternative to a normal cream tea with cheese scones & a nice big piece of mature cheddar with cherry tomatoes, grapes & some apple slices + a pot of tea. A bit...

I've stayed at Brimpts twice and had a great time doing really different stuff on both visits. The family are incredibly welcoming and caring hosts and they make some fantastic food - both for breakfast and in the tea rooms later on. It has easy access to some of my favourite bits of Dartmoor and makes a great stay for...

We visited this afternoon for the fourth time in as many years, just to have one of their delicious cream teas. 2 nice large scones each, 2 different jams and lots of clotted cream - no need to stint at all! Plus a good sized pot of tea with extra hot water. £5.50 each, and excellent value in our opinion....

We visited in August for afternoon tea. The scones were cold, dense and stodgy. There was no choice of scone. The jam was of the industrial red variety -unable to tell what fruit was in it. The service was very slow even thought we were the only people Inside. It took ten minutes before anyone even appeared from the kitchen...

We met with family and friends at Brimpts Farm Barn to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary. Gabrielle was very welcoming and made arrangements with our daughter, paying attention to every detail. We stayed two nights in the cottage, being joined by our elder daughter and her family for the first night. Our younger daughter and her family camped in the...

Saturday 27 February to Tuesday 1 March, my wife and I, plus boarder collie dog, stayed in a double room (Haytor) this used to be part of the old stable. The room had onsuite wc/shower (wet room), and was furnished with quality fittings and generally the standard of finish was good. This was part of a barn/stable convertion, with several...

We were staying for a night and it was fantastic. A hot tub was waiting just round the corner from our room and I loved the fact they named the rooms after tors! We came for a family party so we were staying up late.
