Great place to stay with fantastic views over the Devon countryside and just a few short steps up to the moor. Mark and Jacky are very attentive hosts and both are very energetic and are a mine of information about the area (ask Mark to show you his collection of stone ax-heads and other paraphernalia he's collected on his travels....

I had booked a cottage for a family wedding in June 2016. I was unable to attend the wedding or use the accomadation I had booked. Due to the fact that I had had an accident and had my leg In plaster so was unable to travel from Essex to Devon. In there booking agreement it says if they are...

We stayed at Buzzard Cottage and Jacky couldn't have been more helpful in sorting us out with it as we booked just a few days in advance to attend a last-minute 60th birthday party in Totnes. The cottage is comfortable and the king size bed gave a great night's sleep. I would agree with a previous comment that the bathrooms...

We choose stable cottage because of the advert and photos...which I assume must have been taken 15/20 years ago! Owners were friendly and accommodating even when we were an hour earlier arriving than planned. Very peaceful location with fab walks and countryside all round. We were upgraded to Badger Cottage!! Which was bigger with en suite and family bathroom.... However...

Blackadon Barns are the ideal converted barn cottages that are truely unique and tastefully decorated in an admirable, homely and thoughtful fashion. We have had many return trips here and can't wait to come back again very soon. What with the friendly welcome from Jacky and Mark to the views far reaching over Dartmoor, being family and dog friendly it...

Had an amazing mini break seeing the beautiful sights of Devon and experiencing the best aspects of the countryside. Mark & Jackie were excellent hosts (with a great knowledge of the local area) and their generosity was the icing on top of an already awesome cake. The cottage was extremely well kept and home-ly, with a great collection of games...

Arrived at buzzard cottage, blackadon barns as a surprise to celebrate my 30th birthday. Over 20 of my friends and family (plus dog) joined me and all agreed - this is an amazing place to stay. Warm and welcoming staff who were on site and immediately on hand if any problems arose (we had a slight issue with the heating)....

Having just returned from a truly wonderful long weekend visit to Blackadon Barn cottages, I wanted to immediately thank Mark & Jackie for such a memorable stay. The accommodation is fantastic and all that is required to make for a very comfortable visit. All of the essentials are met...comfortable beds, hot decent showers (and a bath), well equipped kitchen, spacious...

A lovely little place, the stable cottage is perfect for two people who enjoy walking. Very clean, all bedding and towels were provided and smelt exceptionally fresh. Walking distance to a local pub that sells food. The only criticism is that the buzzard cottage is above the stable cottage and it sleeps 24 people. There was lots of banging above...
