We love the Bearslake and when on holiday in the area, always have a dinner or lunch there. Excellent meal Friday night, glorious buttery garlic bread. My husband chose the rack of lamb and I had the bell pepper with a creamy garlic mushrooms. Good sized options as well. Dogs welcomed in the bar area. Looking forward to returning later...

We had a fabulous experience at this beautiful converted Devon longhouse inn. The welcome was warm, the room was lovely (especially if you are under 6 foot due to the low beams), and the food in the restaurant was amongst the best pub food we have had. It was excellent, I had the Devon blue cheeses pannacotta as a starter,...

Kept passing this inn when we were in a cottage down the road.. Decided to go for dinner one evening, and blimey we wasn't disappointed 3 courses from start to finish were excellent, all the food is from local suppliers. The bar is very busy with locals and had the best cider I tried in Devon. Well worth the visit they...

2nd visit. Food is fine, a tad expensive for what it is and we're anything but tight when it comes to eating out. Service this time was dreadful. We sat in the bar and it was regularly unattended leaving a build up of people queuing. There were 3 members of staff on, appreciate they were busy but they would leave...

It looks attractive from the road, the car park is big, we had heard that the food was very good and we gave it a go. We were not disappointed, the staff were very welcoming the dining room spacious, well decorated and warm The menu was not extensive but there was nevertheless a good choice of food. The service was...

Stayed overnight at the "Inn" on the way to Cornwall. Were made very welcome. Deluxe King Room was very large with settee and lovely view over the countryside. Had a meal in the restaurant which was also good - had to leave some because of the large portions.

Had a wonderful two night stay here. Genuinely friendly staff working here making this place quite exceptional. Set in stunning countryside. Food - breakfast lunch and dinner - very good (Soup - broccoli and blue cheese- was sublime!) . Loved the mix of spaces to suit differ needs - quiet areas and then comfortable friendly bar area. Just great!

Not the cheapest place to stay but the rooms in this old inn are large, stylish and well appointed. There’s no residents’ lounge but there was plenty of space in the bar when we were there. Meals are available from the bar and in a more formal ‘silver service’ dining room. There’s ready access to the moor and National Cycle...

My husband and I plus our dog, had a one night stay at the Bearslake Inn on route to Cornwall. We received a warm welcome, were shown to a fab room, ideal for the dog on the ground floor with direct garden access. We ate in the bar for our evening meal and it was superb, local produce, generous portions...
