We didn't stay overnight but had a family party here. Great atmosphere. Left alone except when top up of refreshments were needed. Nothing too much. Children 2-12 were free to wonder around and felt really welcome. Food delicious and staff were very friendly.

We've just come back from a 2 night stay at the Tor Royal Farm. This lovely little place is embedded in the national park and provides incredible views from both rooms and the breakfast hall. We had an ensuite room on the top floor with original sash windows, it was named Lillie. We had a TV with freeview box, team/coffee...

Thank you for your lovely review, you were lovely guests - sorry it was hot - I could have turned off your radiator completely if you had let me know - I am always afraid of people being too cold :)

Lovely old building. A bit too much of 'farm' is brought into the house. Needs a bit more care. Very nice breakfast and lovely staff. The room quite good. Perhaps a bit dreary and could use a good clean. Wonderful peacock outside. Very good location and you can really grasp the Dartmoor experience. Short walk to town.

I am sorry the house was not quite what you expected, being grade II listed we have to adhere to a blandish colour theme unfortunately - if you would like to e-mail me and let me know in more detail what was dirty I will look into it. We can not touch the ornate doors as they are listed, so...

Me and my boyfriend received a gift night of a stay around Dartmoor, after searching for months for somewhere that would be able to accommodate us on late notice for the rare days off that we both had together we found the Tor Royal. I called up and booked that night, we arrived a few days later and we were...

We stayed at Tor Royal Farm for three nights, one in calm weather, the other two in Storm Doris - so quite windy and wet. The rooms were very spacious, warm, quiet and had a great shower. There is tea, coffee, biscuits and fresh milk in a flask. There was a television with built in dvd player in the room,...

I came here with my sister to relive childhood memories. Tor Royal is a lovely B &B; clean, friendly and fab views. The lady owner is very friendly and welcoming, with nothing being too much trouble. The room was very comfortable, spacious and the added little touches like proper milk for tea, biscuits and tissues were much appreciated. Would definitely go...

I came here on Valentine's Day with my fiancé for an afternoon tea! It was a valentines special one and it did not disappoint! When we first arrived I was a bit sceptical as we had only ever been for afternoon teas in London so was used to grand hotels, so when we turned up and it was a farm...

My partner and I were driving through Dartmoor Nationalpark, got hungry, saw a sign for the Tor Royal afternoon tea and decided to give a try. That was one of the best decisions we made on this road trip! Tor Royal is such a magical place, we loved it. We were greeted by two lovely women that gave us a...

Visited for afternoon tea with family. Reasonably priced, friendly and accommodating service and delicious scones! We were welcomed by a peacock perching on the scaffolding outside the entrance (moved to the roof by the time I could snap it!) and kept company inside by the resident cat who was very pleasant! If there had been a couple more jams to...
