You are so kind and it was great to see you again with your gorgeous new baby Oscar. He's certainly got a lovely cheeky smile! We know how much you enjoy coming to Dawlish and really appreciate you supporting us at Lyme Bay House. It is always very satisfying for us and a reward for our efforts when guests are...

Nikki and Ian are the perfect hosts. Every word you will have read about the wonderful breakfasts is true ...... they are awesome. Nikki's bubbling personality and a full plate is an ideal way to start the day. We had a sea view room at the front of the hotel, which was lovely and quiet. The centre of Dawlish is...

You are right, although rooms 1 and 2, the main Sea View Rooms, face the road they are set back enough to still be quiet. Most of our guests report a particularly good night's sleep in these rooms Having said that all of the rooms have had new quality mattresses recently and are very comfortable. We are so glad that...

A very enjoyable stay. The owners Nikki and Ian are very courteous. The rooms are clean and tidy, the breakfast was yummy and the hotel is within 2 mins walk of the town centre and the seafront. I would certainly stay here again. The free onsite parking is a real bonus.

Yes the Free On-Site Parking is a huge bonus as on street parking in Dawlish is scarce and there are not many Car Park either. You also have to pay for some street parking and of course the Car Parks. Because we are only a few minutes walk from the town centre it is very convenient to leave the car...

Yes we are "small" with only 9 rooms and that allows us to get to know our guests. We like to think that it feels like a "home away from home" when staying with us at Lyme Bay House and many of our guests do actually say this. For those that prefer a quiet time and possibly to be left...

A very friendly establishment, a short walk to the sea front and town, and close to the railway station. Breakfasts are plentiful and all cooked fresh to order. The room we had was clean and tidy and had plenty of space. There is parking on site which is a bonus in Dawlish. The town was surprisingly quiet, but there are...

Dawlish quiet? Yes it is in Winter but in July the lull before the storm! End of July is a little quiet but now in mid-August Dawlish is packed and the Fun Fair is on The Lawn. The place is teeming. Not what all our regular customers want but great for those with children. If you do want a quiet...

Yes we are only a few minutes walk away from everything in the small seaside town of Dawlish. There are plenty of good walks in the area both along the sea front and in the surrounding countryside. We also get many walkers staying with us that are doing the South West Coastal Path. We are so glad that you enjoyed...

We do have our own on-site free Car Park which is a bonus in Dawlish where parking is in short supply especially in Summer. However, a car is by no means essential. Many of our guests including regular customers arrive by train. Some spend their time with us travelling around all over the area on buses and trains. Others stay...

We stayed here for two nights so that I could attend a course that was running nearby on the Saturday. Check in was nice and easy. We are glad you enjoyed it here in Dawlish. It is very different to most places especially larger towns in land. Even in the Autumn and Winter months it is a welcome alternative to the hustle and bustle of city life and there is plenty to do if you like walking, cycling and outdoor life. Alternatively, if you just want...

Nikki is especially proud of her Fresh Fruit Salad and makes it every day first thing. The fruits vary a little according to availability but usually include Honeydew Melon, Pineapple, Strawberries and Red Seedless Grapes. It included gooseberries today! Thank you so much for your comments, we are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. Nikki & Ian
