Booked in February for seven days starting Good Friday. Me, my two daughters & a friend (20, 18 & 17) and our 17 month old miniature Golden Doodle. Our friends (2 adults and their 19 year old daughter plus dog) booked for the same time to stay in their motorhome. The site is lovely, the bar area looked clean and...

Potato Pete: We're back! It's been a while but we thought we ought to keep reviewing. Dr Carrot: No-one has missed us. No-one even noticed. We're better off sweeping the path or unblocking the sink. Pete: Nonsense. Our pleasant review will brighten someone's day, like a ray of sunshine stretching from sunny Bournemouth to the North Devon coast. Carrot: Sounds...

We booked Easter weekend here, in our touring caravan. Electric grass pitch was what we had reserved. If you are going to drive here with a touring van, be advised there are some very narrow, windy roads and double parked villages, making driving fun! The site itself is beautiful, the views, the mermaid cove are completely amazing! The outdoor pool,...

Just back from an Easter break with my husband, aunt and dog. We have stayed in a lot of John Fowler sites over the years, and can honestly say that this one is the most friendly, welcoming camp of them all! We booked to stay in a budget van but were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of it as we usually use...

We booked this through a Sun holiday, four adults one child, and the dog. The park itself is in a great location, and is a good size, not crowded at all, it is very close to Combe Martin itself, which has a good choice of pubs and cafes. On the plus side, apart from what i have already mentioned, the...

We have just returned from four days. After finding my way to ‘Reception’ which was just a desk sandwiched in between the ‘café’ where the dish of the day seemed to be kebabs and all the food was served up in kebab boxes and the bar, I was greeted by a very young girl- who was polite enough- but who had a younger girl standing next to...

This is an amazing setting, regardless of the weather, sat on a cliff edge, looking out towards Wales. It is a small and very well kept site, with excellent staff, but it's the position and views that keep me going back every year. The caravans are very well kept, whatever unit you choose, vans to suit all pockets, most have...

Wonderful spot to explore this area of North Devon. The caravan we were staying in was comfortable and had great views. As we have a small Jack Russell who soon made himself at home. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Sandaway Beach Holiday Park stands on a low cliff at the very edge of the ocean with breathtaking sea views. Three minutes walk down a picturesque stepped path brings you to Sandaway Beach, privately owned by us, a rocky foreshore and a sprinkling of sand but a real sun trap and haven of peace and quiet, but beware of the tides. A short scramble over the rocks takes you to our secret spot, Mermaid's Cove, this is truly a place of magic and tranquillity for that really quiet swim or sunbathe. Relax with a cool drink in our Smuggler's Bar, take in the superb sea, and Exmoor views. Enjoy excellent pub grub, and basket meals from our Chef's Corner, and view our nightly family entertainment in our clubhouse. A feature of Sandaway is our lovely kidney shaped swimming pool. There is a well stocked shop, take-away meals, pool table, amusements, a special indoor children's soft play area and an outdoor playground. ... more   less
