The Old Rectory is a beautifully appointed conversion, with outstanding bedrooms and bathrooms. The service provided by Sam and Huw is quite outstanding and the food is excellent. Our 6 day stay was perfect as ever. The only thing that made leaving bearable was rebooking twice for next year. Our suite - Watersmeet - was gorgeous. The food really excellent. A return to one of our favourite hotels. We were not disappointed as the experience was even better than first time. With fabulous food and exceptional service Huw and Sam have perfected their own inimitable style of hospitality. Their warmth and humour was a great addition to a wonderful 4 days in a glorious part of the country.

A tastefully furnished hotel in a beautiful secluded location. The food and service is excellent and the entire stay can only be described as a wonderful experience. Look forward to returning in the Spring of 2015.

A lovely, stylish, warm and inviting country hotel hidden away on the Exmoor coast of North Devon. It simply doesn't get much better than this... add the surrounding countryside and it's a real winner.

First ever stay in a Boutique Hotel. Attention to detail was excellent. Really friendly staff and some of the most delicious food I have ever tasted! Quiet location and near to coastal footpath for a walk before the afternoon tea and fabulous homemade cake! 10 out of 10.

We enjoyed 3 nights, dinner, bed and breakfast and the service was perfect. We enjoyed the Beeches room and the meals were excellent. All the staff were wonderful and the property is beautiful and in a quiet spot, with walking paths very close by.

It is very generous of you (and very much appreciated) to describe the service you received here as perfect! We thoroughly enjoyed meeting you both and looking after you for your few days on wonderful Exmoor and we hope you will come back and see us again next year.
