Stayed with my partner on 5th September for a birthday treat. Room was spotless with lots of little touches. Dinner and breakfast were amazing! Staff very friendly. Add that to the stunning tranquil setting and it was quite possibly the best overnight stay I have ever had. Really didn't want to leave.........will be back in the hopefully not too distant...

Having arrived after 9pm on a Saturday eve! was quite prepared to be told that the kitchen was shut or shutting and it was going to be a mad scramble to dinner! Far from it! We were warmly greeted by the lovely Hilary who very quickly showed us to our well appointed beautiful room whilst kindly assuring us we had...

In a stunning secluded picturesque location this place is very lucky. We saw lots of dogs but no sign of dog mess one reviewer moans about. With a mix of families, dog walkers, couples of all ages and a wide range of ages in visitors this place caters well for all. The ubiquitous children's menu was a pleasure to see,...

Came here when returning from a camping trip. Took a detour to visit the Tarragon steps and were really pleased we did. It's a great little spot to visit and the food looked lovely and was reasonably priced. We had already eaten but did manage some cheesy chips which were lovely. Lovely circular walk around the river.

We always make time to drive out to Tarr Steps Inn for a meal, when staying in the area, a real must. The ambience is friendly and Cosy. The food divine have enjoyed an evening meal there a number of times and just booked my 3rd Christmas lunch in a row. Thoroughly recommend for eating and have also stayed in...

Reviews are unfair, aren't they? We only had coffees. which were fine. The service was a tad slow, but they were busy, so it wasn't unreasonable. And they can't stop patrons having dogs, or police how they manage their pooches. But, really, when the garden is littered with dog turds, not sure how I can give them more than three...

The Tarr Farm Inn is right next to the Tarr Steps and is the only place other than the ice cream stall near the steps so luckily our lunch and later cream tea here was a very pleasant experience. The lunch menu was varied and reasonably priced for the quality. Our steak ciabattas were delicious and our daughter's chicken goujons...

We decided to have an early lunch before heading down to the steps. Main lunches are served from 12 o'clock which is fine, we were 15 minutes early and the waitress let us order our food, ready for the kitchen at 12. The food arrived just after 12 and it was very nice. My nephew had the burger which was...

The room we got was spacious and very comfortable, extremely well equipped. Meals were fine to great (we had 2 breakfasts and dinners, one lunch), I'd definitely recommend the scallops as a starter and white mousse with fruit sauce as a desert. We did two hiking trails around, the inn is extremely well located. Service was really fine, even though...

We visited here whilst on holiday at Exmoor Gate Lodges in Waterrow, the owners recommended this place to us, and we are so glad that we listened. The setting is just idyllic. The Cream tea was out of this world, despite being busy we received it very quickly. I would have waited though, as it was delicious. Well worth a...
