What a gorgeous place to stay! We were in Room 6.. The Superior Room and what a view! The room itself was spacious & beautifully laid out. Bed was very comfy. Very friendly staff. Breakfast plentiful. Very peaceful place to stay. And it isn't far to walk to the beach... will be recommending & returning in the Summer.

I stayed for four nights. Great location and lovely views. My room was nice, bit run down, however over the entire stay my bathroom wasnt cleaned even once(shampoo etc was only supplied on arrival- bathroom could do with a major upgrade, shower was poor, also problems with plumbing, every time I flushed the toilet there was a loud noise coming...

I recently stayed for 1 night at the barn hotel with friends. The building itself is very impressive and grand in appearance. The interior is really spacious and whilst dated in places is on the whole nicely decorated. My room was very large, the decor good and bed really comfortable and on the whole a nice experience. The bathroom was...

We stayed for 2 nights using 2 rooms. Loved the building on arrival and fantastic views over the bay and first impressions were good - beautifully decorated Xmas trees in the lounge and reception area and also the dining room all looked very festive and pretty. We liked the size of our rooms on the first floor. We aren't fussy...

We stayed two nights at the Barn whilst visiting family and unfortunately what we were expecting to be a pleasant well appointed 4-star B&B was anything but the case. For £150 we were put into a cramped room so small we were forced to constantly step over or around furniture straight from a 1940s jumble sale. The room was musty,...

We arrived around 5.30 pm and no one answered the doorbell so we had to telephone to be let in which wasn't ideal. The hotel is beautifully situated with fantastic views of the sea. We were allocated room 2 which is a superior sea view room. It was very spacious and conveniently had direct access to the garden which was...

We rang the door bell 3 times when we arrived and no response. Only when I accessed the email confirmation to find the phone number and call did the owner answer the phone and then come and answer the door- not a great start to our stay! What a shame, this could be a lovely place to stay- but wasn't....

We stayed at the Barn while in Exmouth seeing friends. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had the 'superior' room which had a lovely view out over the sea. The breakfast was nice, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It wasn't 5* but we weren't looking for that, but what we found we were pleased...

Please save your money, this "hotel" ? Is to die for, if you read the reviews or hotel blog. The place is basically a sham, boasting of amenities that do no longer exist I.e. 2 acres, putting green, evening dining and most importantly comfort. The room we stayed in was advertised as "Superior" but was found to be filthy, wall...

On our arrival we had to wait several minutes at locked front door until a young guy opened and let us in. Since we were early our room wasn't yet cleaned so we were shown the breakfast room , self service bar and our uncles bed room on the first floor. I saw the yellow brownish stains on the pillows...
