My last visit was with our children some 25 years ago for the summer holidays. Little has changed since then apart from the complex growing in size. The bedrooms are clean and everything you expect of a 3 star hotel. The food is plentiful with lots of choice and is self service for all meals. The staff are helpful especially...

We're looking to go back for a 3rd time at Easter, so although the hotel is extremely tired and it feels like you've stepped back in time, (its dark, its artexed to the nines, heavily mismatched patterned everything, I've not seen carpets like it for decades and there's lots of orangey wood panelling) for us, the pay off for the...

A great hotel that is exactly as advertised. Rooms are okay. Facilities and food are excellent and almost everything is included within your price. Golf courses are in great condition and staff are helpful. Look forward to visiting again!

For intending to be occupied by a great range of events and activities in the countryside at a budget location, this is the place. Not pretty, a bit of a rabbit warren trying to find your way around, budget rooms and pleasant food. Beer £3.60 a pint and bottles of wine at a normalish rate. You can do pretty much...

Went to the golf hotel with my parents bowling club the week before half term. The hotel is old fashioned and the decor is tired but there is so much to do you should not spend too much time in your room. The food is plentiful although it has been cooked beyond the point of flavour so you will never...

We arrived on the Friday at 1ish, check in is 3 o'clock, but from the time we arrived we did not stop, so much to do n not enough time to do it all. The staff were brilliant in all areas and very very helpful. We were a family party of 12 so most activities had limited space for us...

Spent three nights at the Ashbury between Xmas and New Year. If you are looking for lots of activities then this is the place for you. We are not golfers who would really appreciate this place but for others their is still much on offer. On the plus side we should congratulate the staff as without exception they were a...

Thank you for your feedback. Your comments about the Staff at Ashbury are particularly rewarding as we do pride ourselves on our level of customer service. With regards to the buffet arrangements at Ashbury these have already been altered and we are also finalising plans to extend the dining room – this should be completed within the next 6 months....
