A rather belated review as we stayed for one night at The Vineyards in Hawkchurch in September 2016, on our way back from a family wedding in Cornwall. From our arrival to our departure my partner, sister and myself were treated more as friends than paying guests. We were warmly welcomed by Melanie and shown to our rooms, which looked...

Just stayed at the Vineyards over the weekend with our friends, and could not have chosen a better place to stay. The rooms were lovely, spotlessly clean and very large, with those nice little touches that shows the owners know what they are doing. The breakfast was exceptional and we were made to feel very welcome. Highly recommended. Note -...

The Vineyards B and B was absolutely gorgeous, such a comfortable and relaxing place. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. So many lovely details, beautiful toiletries, gorgeous towels and a amazing roll top bath. The breakfast was amazing so many lovely things to eat. Well worth a stay.

We booked 2 nights in between our holiday in Devon & Cornwall and specifically for a night at River Cottage which is only 10 minutes away. A lovely quaint village setting and house tucked away at the bottom of the main road. Very friendly owners and breakfast to die for. Good location for area and Melanie (the owner) was very...

We stayed at The Vineyards for 2 nights of our honeymoon. It was absolutely lovely with a spacious room, beautifully appointed bathroom and lush gardens. The breakfast was delicious and served in a gorgeous dining room. Fresh fruit, pastries and cooked breakfast. Great choice of accomodation for a River Cottage course or romantic getaway. Lovely hostess and highly recommended

I loved everything of this Bed & Breakfast: the warmly friendly atmosphere and host, the stylish interior with so much lovely details, the delicious breakfast. We felt so comfortable. We regret it that we only stayed one night. It is a perfect accomodation to stay longer to get away from everyday life and relax. Stay more than one night and...

I don't give good reviews easily but always try my best to be fair and to the point, so I’m very pleased to say the ‘Vineyards’ proved to be absolutely faultless. Located in Hawkchurch, near Axminster, the guest house is a lovingly restored Victorian family home set in its own grounds. The house is very well presented, with wooden floors,...

We stayed at the Vineyards with friends . That meant we had the both rooms . Both of the rooms were special with exceptional views across the garden and all the luxuries of a top class bed and breakfast . Our leisurely breakfast was served by Melanie and Andrew. A real treat with locally sourced produce I would not hesitate...

We booked Vineyards B&B for our stay due to its close proximity to River Cottage for our treat. Upon entering the house, there was a roaring fire in the hallway which was very welcoming indeed. Bedroom 2 is spacious with en-suite and spotlessly clean. Melanie switched on the electric fire ahead of our arrival, so upon entering the room it...

I originally booked with Melanie and Andrew because I was attending the nearby River Cottage Cookery school, but would come here again just for the relaxing stay. Great night sleep, breakfast was superb. Thoroughly recommend.
