Stayed for a couple of nights. Great staff, fantastic food. The historic building is tastefully decorated and has an excellent ambiance. It's an ideal base if you are interested in visiting the local attractions.

If you're looking for fantastic food in a wonderful setting and welcoming staff look no further. Being a local this has most definitely become one of our places to go whether for drinks (too many) or delicious food (too much) and I would rate it in my top 3 in the South Hams. It is a 13th century coaching inn...

Lovely pint, nice pub... but we were told to move our motorbikes to the staff car park because the space they were occupying was suddenly 'reserved'! Shame really, but luckily there are plenty of other more inclusive watering holes in the vicinity

The manager did a great job directing us to Slapton and upon arrival to a parking spot. (Our car could not fit into the lane and she waited on the main road for us.) There was a fine room room in a building adjoining the pub. The pub offered a great selection of beer and spirits and there was a...

Enjoyable break, super food and a sensible menu without too many options. Friendly welcome and a busy homely bar in the evenings. Would stay again. Good location for walking and visiting local attractions.

My wife and I have visited this pub for lunch three times in the last year, usually linked to a walk along Slapton Sands or the Ley. It it the most atmospheric & historic of pubs. Hidden away in a beautiful village, away from the road, the dark interior envelops you and creates a relaxed serenity. The small touches abound...

Was taken to the tower inn for my birthday at the weekend. We parked down the road and walked up....the sign on the road is faint and we weren't sure where we were and then.. we turned a corner......a proper...traditional pub. On such a cold day the fires were lite and the staff so very very welcoming. Once at the...

The Tower Inn is a lovely English pub which serves surprisingly interesting and delicious food. The chef's dishes are a delight and keep us returning despite the awful service. Beware the service is so bad that it can ruin an evening as you may have to wait easily over an hour to receive your food not even on a bad...
