Currently staying at Parkland with family and have to say what amazing facilities, the site is being improved all the time and it looks great!! The shop is awesome and has everything you want and more! Very well thought out site and the WiFi is exceptional! I am a massive fan of the recycling and so pleased to see a camp site taking it seriously. Great attention to detail :)

Thank you for a lovely holiday!

ParkLand Caravan and Camping Kingsbridge
We arrived late on a Sunday afternoon in our American Fifth wheel. The journey was not good getting there with narrow roads leading to the campsite for 12 miles.
To arrive which was stated as being a large purpose built entrance. It was quite wide but with quite a lot of obstacles in the way, as in gas bottles , new small buildings being erected and various other bits and pieces dotted around. A lot of building work seemed to be going on. The site was very pretty with a lot of flower borders etc. The owner who met us was very nice and very informative regarding the area, where to go and what to see etc.
He showed us to our pitch which was a super RV pitch for large vehicles. To be honest it was a struggle to get on the pitch and even more of a struggle to get off when we left with a very tight turn past the chemical disposal block and also the side of the shower building which also had a CCTV camera erected to add to the problem.
Unfortunately because of this we will not be returning to ParkLand. There were a lot of caravans that are there on a more permanent basis with just a couple of tourers like us at the time. It is also a shame as there are no walks from the site, which is probably why it is not permitted to bring your dog, though a bus stop I believe at the entrance. It has a shop but never saw it open but did see a sign that you could ring a bell and someone would come, didn’t want to do that though as to inconvenience anyone especially if we just wanted to browse. Also only one shower was open at the time, with sorry for any inconvenience on all the other doors. I didn’t think this was very good as it is a site which is open all year round.

I know our vehicle is very large but this was the tightest site we have been on, a little misleading I think, especially if we damaged the vehicle it would have been at our own risk entering and it really isn’t suitable for big vehicles (in our opinion). It was quite an expensive pitch and in comparison we have been to less expensive ones which have swimming pools and more facilities. If its a five star as it suggests not sure how it was awarded one. Spent most of the week wondering how we were going to get out again, and then we had to suffer the 12 miles of very bad narrow roads, hence having to leave early to avoid any heavy farm machinery or too much traffic flow.

This is our second time here this year. The owners go out of their way for you which included getting some playing cards for us despite having run out in their shop, which is very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back again.

Just returned from a week at Parklands. Site is extremely clean and well kept, an abundance of flowers and shrubs throughout make a lovely setting. Showers and toilets frequently cleaned. Owners are friendly and helpful, and are an extremely worthwhile source of local knowledge. Shop is well stocked with some great local produce (but no beer!). Recommended.
