Nestled by Dartmoor this lovely Manor House made a perfect place to stay for a couple of nights in the area. Clean, comfortable and with charming owners who were happy to offer advice on locations and walks. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, both of which were delicious. Dinner had a number of specials to offer and a... More

In our review dated 2/11/15 we were eagerly anticipating our return to Collaven Manor in the spring, which we duly did last May, and now we're just home from our regular Autumn visit this year, which speaks for itself. The excellence of this gem of a hotel continues undiminished in all aspects, delightful, cosy, comfortable accommodation, a warm welcome from... More

As a Gluten and Dairy Free traveller I do enjoy a hotel who look after my needs. Colloven is a great choice for a stay, friendly hotel, good food and comfortable. Right in the edge of the Moors with good walks and outdoor access for all abilities.

For several years we have stayed here on our way down to Cornwall, and it is always a real pleasure. A lovely quiet setting, a beautiful rose garden, very comfortable rooms and wonderful food. Do not miss the opportunity of a very fine dinner! The owners make you very welcome. We have already booked for 2017 and promised ourselves that... More

It was like stepping back in time, but with the best of today. A beautiful old country hotel FULL of character. Lovely, clean, comfortable room; beautiful grounds to stroll, including a lovely rose garden; delicious breakfast in a charming dining room; and snug, cozy sitting room and charming bar. Easy access to Dartmoor and the A30. The only hiccup was... More

We stopped here for two nights on our way back from Cornwall. The hotel is beautiful with lots of history but just because it's old doesn't mean its not clean and comfortable. Our room was lovely and the bed was more comfortable than our one at home! That's a first for us! My husband is very tall and they thoughtfully... More

Great clean and quiet room (No.1). Excellent breakfast and room was ready well before check-in time. Taxis booked at request and even posted 'left-overs' after check out. Wish other hotels looked after guests when they left

We spent two nights in the Collaven Manor Hotel/Restaurant recently to celebrate our 55th Wedding Anniversary and could not have chosen better. The Hotel is small, situated in lovely grounds and, although close to the road, extremely quiet. We received a very friendly welcome, our room was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed excellent food in the restaurant. We would... More

We stayed for one night and really enjoyed it. Its a lovely old house with bags of character. Our room was clean and spacious with a good view of the garden and across the moor. The staff were excellent and the breakfast was very good. Waking up to the dawn chorus was perfect!

Stayed for three nights to celebrate my wife's birthday and what a great place to stay. Perfect location for walking and sightseeing. Lovely hosts, nothing was to much trouble. Great breakfasts and evening meals. Our room was excellent and the Manor has two lounges one with a built in bar. All in all a great find and would have no... More
