Just had a couple of days at The Castle (usually here for a week every year or two!). As always, The Castle and Woolacombe felt like home. We were in the largest room this year which was fab, and slept soundly on a super comfy bed! The ensuites are a little small, but this depends on which room you have...

No previous visitor to Woolacombe can possibly forget the Castle, whether they stayed there or not! The Hotel really does look like a Castle. Lots of interesting history regarding the building itself but suffice to say that some of the décor is magnificent. No doubt originally built as a ' stately home' in a prime site overlooking the beach and...

We went there for a long weekend. It was lovely, very quite and peaceful. The room was clean as all the hotel was. The breakfast was very nice and plenty of everything. The service was very good and Mark & Graham & Linda were very friendly and helpful. The only thing is it is very steep hills there so if...

My family and I have been staying at the Castle Hotel forever. The family that run it are really friendly and over the years have become great friends, so much so it feels like we're visiting family whenever we return. The hotel looks gorgeous and sits in a prime position on the Esplanade. It is impeccably clean and spacious inside...

We stayed at The Castle at a a weekend in June 2012. The hotel is in a perfect location on a cliff top overlooking the beach below. Our room was very comfortable, too. The hotel has a large number of repeat visitors and it's not hard to see why. We went to bed listening to the sound of the waves...

Once again a lovely stay at our favourite place. Thank you carol for a thoroughly enjoyable stay. You couldn't ask for more, this is a hotel with the true personal touch. The location is spectacular, overlooking the beach. Lying in bed listening to the waves is so relaxing. The bedrooms are beautiful with lovely comfy beds. Smashing breakfasts always served...

We have just come back from a wonderful weekend at the Castle in Woolacombe. From the outside the hotel actually looks like a castle, its amazing. Right on the sea front, next to the town. Our room had a lovely walk-in bay window with fantastic sea views. The owner was very welcoming despite our late arrival! Great room, great breakfast,...

The Castle is simply the most wonderful, warm friendly hotel in Woolacombe, with enormous rooms, some with double aspect views of the beach. The beds are sooo comfy (something we rarely find in hotels), John and June run the hotel, although John sadly passed away earlier this year, he is very much missed by his regulars. The breakfasts are brilliant,...
