We stay here regularly. A firm favourite. However, during the warm weather last week, - remember it's only May - the dining room was far too hot both at breakfast and dinner. Why, you might ask, dont they open the windows? Good question. Both guests and staff have to suffer in uncomfortable heat spoiling what is a delightful food fest....

Thank you for your recent review and for choosing to stay with us regularly. I am sorry to read that you found the Restaurant too hot during service. We do indeed open the terrace lounge doors to create air flow but perhaps the good weather had caught the team off guard! Thank you for bringing this to our attention and...

Front desk staff were friendly, food reasonable if fussy. But - very limited indoor sitting areas especially with views to the coast and major problems when something goes wrong. They just don't care. WC and TV did not work in our room but management couldn't care less, no customer satisfaction here. Blamed us for not advising them earlier!?! Will certainly...

Thank you for your recent review. Since your stay with us you have been in contact with three different managers here at the Watersmeet. I believe this itself proves that we do of course care about our customer satisfaction. During your one night stay you experienced intermittent issues with your toilet flush and TV. These were reported on check out...

My parents first visited The Watersmeet Hotel over 30 years ago and then every year after for over 15 years they visited with their children and grandchildren for a week every summer to surf, rockpool and to build memories with their family. My father now aged 91 wanted to return one more time, so together with his carer we returned...

We stayed for a couple of nights. The hotel location is good with great rocky coast sea views. Our room was quite small and a bit dated in terms of furniture, embossed wallpaper and Victorian style bathroom fittings. Only two small fanlights opened and we were hot most of the time (in May with heating off). It was however very...

Thank you for your recent review and for both your positive and negative feedback. Almost all of our bedrooms have been refurbished to a modern standard but there are a few left to be done. We are sorry your room did not meet your taste. With reference to your dining experience we sincerely apologise for the wait for both food...

Our first stay at Watersmeet Hotel was a treat from beginning to end. Tasteful decor, friendly service, comfortable bedroom and lounge area with fabulous views, excellent food in Bistro, wonderful breakfast in dining room, great location for coastal walks and we had the pool all to ourselves. We're looking forward to planning our return.

I took a couple of friends here for a snack lunch on a rainy day. The sandwiches were good and the sweet potato chips were excellent. The view out to sea, through huge glass windows, while sitting on comfy sofas was special. The staff were friendly and very professional. I shall return.

We stayed for 2 nights for our wedding anniversary. The view and location is fantastic, I guess that's what you pay for. We had one of the 'cheaper' sea view double room, which was quite hot (no air-conditioning) and over reception, so a tad noisy. Bathroom was nice but the rest of the room average. Wifi was reasonably good, I...

Stayed here 3 years ago and got engaged on the private beach . Lovely small boutique hotel, restaurant bistro ok to good. Peaceful romantic getaway with lovely grounds and indoor and outdoor swimming pools. It's near enough to the village and surfy Woolocombe.

One of our friends ordered a glass of red wine & a whiskey & it came to over £25. I think the member of staff should've asked him which whiskey he would prefer instead of serving one of the most expensive. Although it looks a lovely place to stay. A friendly welcoming. Will return when next in the area.

Great hotel, fantastic location. We had a family room with terrace and it was perfect. A huge room with private terrace overlooking the beach. Lovely indoor pool, great bistro (we had lunch there and went out for dinner) and bar. Would def stay here again and recommend it!

The Watersmeet hotel located on the quiet edge of Woolacombe is one of Devon's finest coastal hotels. It is perfectly perched on the cliff edge above a quiet, sandy beach known as Combegate beach. All but three of the bedrooms offer spectacular sea views to Lundy Island and Baggy Point. A number of the bedrooms have original wooden balconies where you can sit and watch magnificent sunsets. The seaward side of the hotel offers one long, uninterrupted panorama and whether you're reading the paper in the lounge or dining in the restaurant you can enjoy the most wonderful views of the sea and rolling surf. The very best pocket sprung beds; thick, luxurious duvets; crisp white linen and superior memory foam pillows ensure a comfortable night's sleep. The table d'hote and bistro restaurants offer a high standard of cuisine. 2 AA rosette awarded many of the ingredients are locally sourced. On the hotel's doorstep is one of the country's best surfing beaches; a top links golf course.
