Can't fault the Hotel or staff. Breakfast very good. Didn't use the Restaurant. Not the Hotel's fault it rained all weekend! Couple of nice pubs in Morthoe village up the hill, but unless you are a surf dude, give Woolacombe a miss.

Stayed just one night on our way to Cornwall, booked dinner bed and breakfast £310 for a lovely room with a new bathroom and private terrace overlooking the sea - pity it was raining so couldn't use it! Room was very clean and beds very comfortable. The restaurant is an unusual conservatory sort of design and its layers ensures that...

Fabulous location with stunning views across to Lundy Island. Comfortable hotel, delicious food with great service, the spa facilities we had to ourselves which was a bonus! Would highly recommend for a quiet break away.

A wonderful few days as always. The new deck area is cleverly incorporated into the existing building although it may need a rejig to eliminate the whale song that occurs whenever the wind blows. Only real criticism is that the cleaning staff need to dust the top of the wardrobe occasionally, as with nowhere else to store cases my husband...

Dear digdog_12, Thank you for your review. The new terrace really is a great addition to the hotel. We are working on resolving the noise issue when the wind blows through the supports. Housekeeping has taken on board your comments and I can only apologise to your husband. The seating arrangements are organised so that we try to get everyone...

The hotel is in a beautiful position !The food was delicious! Unfortunately mildew in the bathroom and wallpaper peeling off the bedroom wall, this is not what's expected when paying £210 for a nights stay and £9 for a Guinness!!! Unfortunately I won't be visiting again!

We had a lovely stay at the Watersmeet hotel. The hotel is situated spectacularly, right by/above the sea. The views are phenomenal. The food is nice. The hotel is quiet and friendly. The staff were kind but quite slow to pick up on any wishes, orders etc. There were mostly elderly couples staying at the hotel; perhaps that set the...

Our eldest son was married at The Watersmeet Hotel last weekend, and everything about the day (and the weekend) was perfect. The wedding planner Helen had ensured that the whole process ran smoothly, and so allayed any nerves. All staff seemed really happy for us all, and were welcoming, proactive and very pleasant. Luggage was moved quickly and efficiently; chairs...

The very best pocket sprung beds; thick, luxurious duvets; crisp white linen and superior memory foam pillows ensure a comfortable night's sleep. The table d'hote and bistro restaurants offer a high standard of cuisine. 2 AA rosette awarded many of the ingredients are locally sourced. On the hotel's doorstep is one of the country's best surfing beaches; a top links golf course.
