What a relaxing stay. Wendy made us feel at home in her quaint home ‘far from the madding crowd’. We had a great nights rest and had a fabulous breakfast in front of a log fire. Wendy was helpful in answering our questions with her local knowledge. It won’t be the last time we visit. Thank you Wendy.

The accommodation was very well located in a small village on the Jurassic Coast. We were able to park off-street, in their 'farm yard'; horses, ducks, chickens and many others. The accommodation was upstairs (steep staircase) in a beautiful Devon Long House. The beds were very comfy; room had a TV, ensuite, tea & coffee facilities. Breakfast (full English, with cereals too) was very nice in a common breakfast room.

Upon arrival hostess not found. Waited and waited. Knocked on door - no answer. Waited. Called telephone number provided - wrong number, but knew the owner and called her for us. Finally greeted us - made it sound like our fault. It wasn’t. Got room key - room is staffed with things. Almost no room to turn with two people each with suitcase. Shower didn’t drain properly so had to stop shower once in a while to let shower drain else it would have flooded. Duvet too hot for this time of the year. Breakfast served only at 0830 - no other options which was really inconvenient for us as we wanted an earlier start. Breakfast room crammed with owners momentos. Overall this BnB is a shrine to the owner and not, in my opinion, doused on the paying guest Given a choice we wouldn’t go back there

Pretty old farmhouse in a quiet village. No street lights so you can see so many stars at night (take a torch if concerned). I was slightly concerned having read some of the reviews regarding the number decorative objects but on arrival it seemed entirely in keeping with the age and style of the cottage and we both found the family photos and memorabilia very interesting. Would be particularly so for those interested in horses and racing. We were in the pink room room where the beds were very comfortable, all was clean and we had everything we needed, We were warned about the stallion making noises in his stall below but he was quiet. This is not a modern, streamlined place so if that is what you want then this is probably not for you but we found it to have fashioned country charm and were made to feel comfortable by our hostess.

We booked for a much delayed family reunion several months ago and asked for a travel cot. Three days before our visit it turned out the host does not accept children (not mentioned on the website, hidden in the Agoda ts&C's). Although obviously not ideal, we accepted this, but nonetheless Wendy Wood was extremely unpleasant on the phone and it turned out she'd told Agoda we'd been the ones to cancel in order to keep our money. It was an extremely stressful and unpleasant interaction and only with Agoda's help did we recover our money. We respect Wendy's decision not to host children but this should be clear upfront and she should never have lied to Agoda to try and keep our money.

My son, daughter in law and baby made a booking in May with a request for a travel cot. Mrs Wood admitted she failed to read the request until 3 days before they were due to stay at the end of July. They were told by Agado that she would not allow them to stay because of the baby. She was not at all concerned that they only had 2 days to find another place. The only thing she was concerned about was herself and finding another customer. She said that she doesn't accept children but that is not stated on her website - it only states that no pets allowed. She said that it was on the Agado website but it is well hidden. And since a request was made for a travel cot, if she hadn't left reading the request until the last minute then she would have realised they had a baby. She was worried about breakages but since he can't crawl that was ridiculous. She refused to refund the money unless she got another booking and it was only when Agado intervened that they got their money back. Her manner was extremely unpleasant.

We loved the look of this place when we booked it on the internet and it lived up to expectations, externally more than internally. The place was filled with ornaments, dolls houses, dolls etc etc which would have taken an eternity to clean?? Our room was good and the breakfast delicious too. Would have probably been a 5 but for the negative comment we received from the owner that we should have booked directly with her rather than through a third party website as she doesn't receive as much money. That is not my problem!!

This is the reason why we love B & B‘s! It is an old farmhouse at the eastern end of Abbotsbury, with lots of character and history. The breakfast room and the individual rooms are decorated with vintage paintings and toys, which we liked a lot - so much to discover! The room was cozy and the bed allowed for a restful sleep. Great breakfast & a friendly host/owner (Wendy). Very conveniently located, in a quiet location only a short walk to the local pub and the village center. Abbotsbury itself was one of our favourite villages in the UK - much to see.

We stayed at this beautiful farm house for 4 nights, it is in the lovely tranquil village of Abbotsbury famous fir the Swannery and Botanical Garden. It is ideally situated for many countryside walks and only minutes from Chesil Beach. The farm house has 3 bedrooms each has its own colour theme and good on- suite facilities. The house is filled with lovely quirky collectables dolls houses and dolls and lots of pictures which all adds to its charm and character. The hostess Wendy is very welcoming and serves a delicious breakfast to order each morning. The village hosts tea rooms and couple of cosy pubs within walking distance of East Farm. You must like geese and ducks hens too as they greet you on arrival.. all very friendly though. We shall return.

We had to change plans at last minute and seeing positive reviews booked one night. The outside of the building was lovely but personally found the decoration and furnishing of interior rather overwhelming with the enormous amount of dolls and ornaments etc...some may find the quirkiness and rather dated and cluttered style appealing but sadly we didn't.
