Just got back from 5 days in Dorset, while it's still feasible. East Farm House is lovely. You park your car in the farmyard, which is full of chickens, ducks, geese and bantams, with beautiful horses watching from their stables. The breakfast, as many have said, is terrific, and I bought some of the eggs to take home. They reminded me what eggs are meant to taste like. There's lots to do in the area, and we had a great time.
Just back from a weekend here at East Farm B+B ,what a lovely quirky little place this was. Full of lots of little nic nacs interesting artifacts and a wonderful host Wendy 😃 great breakfast and a very warm welcome, definitely worth a stay we will be back. Thankyou Wendy
We had a lovely 2-night stay at this charming B&B near the stunning Dorset coast. Wendy couldn't have been more welcoming and we loved our cozy room filled with local color and historical details including a collection of antique books and memorabilia from the family's prized horses. The breakfasts were fit for a king, with fresh local produce including perhaps the best eggs I ever tasted. Don't miss a stop at nearby Chesil Beach, which has one of the UK's most treasured vistas.
A lovely old farmhouse on the edge of the quaint village of Abbotsbury, run by the very welcoming and friendly host,Wendy. Some people may like the fact that the dining room is full of dolls, pictures and various mementoes, with hardly any wall space is left uncovered . Others may find the bedroom, with a small pink canopy over the bedhead, appealing. The basic bathroom, with a small shower, may be adequate. The very quiet location and lack of WiFi signal in the room may seem restful. Some may feel safe with a number of dogs in the house. Unfortunately, it's not to my personal taste and would not return.
Not our first visit to Wendy and her hospitality and we hope to return. The welcome is as if you have just come home and the whole house hugs you. The rooms are clean and comfortable with all the facilities one would expect ( en suite, shower, tea &coffee). Breakfast is exceptional, freshly cooked and will last you all day, you can ask for exactly what you would like from a good selection. The area is lovely with plenty of walking and bus access to nearby towns ( we don't have a car so feel it important to mention) there are places in the village for an evening meal and if you can manage sunset from St Catherine's chapel that is just so special.
