The Bridge House hotel is an upmarket beautifully restored and converted old house with a lovely garden and an excellent restaurant with a very interesting and imaginative menu. Service was impeccable and friendly, room spacious, clean and beautiful. Would love to return. Private car park available.

Very nice hotel, welcoming staff and excellent food. However, do get someone to show you how the Hi-tech air shower works - otherwise you could be in for a surprise! The combined air-shower, jacuzzi and conventional shower can be difficult to drive if you start from the wrong assumptions.

Very few places make you want to keep returning again and again, but The Bridge House is certainly one of them. With it being 18 months since our last visit we were concerned whether the standards of previous visits would be maintained, especially considering the changes to front of house staff. We need not have worried, this is still a...

My daughter and son-in-law stayed here a couple of years ago and had a wonderful stay and meal. A couple of weeks ago my wife and I visited with friends for sunday lunch. The only comments I can make is that the service was excellent and so was the food. We hope to visit again on our own.

Myself, husband and 3 children aged 2, 5 and 7 stayed for a week in room 15 at the end of May 2015. The room was perfect for us and we even managed to fit the travel cot in one of the smaller bedrooms. The beds were very comfy and the room was very peaceful and there is a very...

We had a good meal when we visited again for dinner on a busy Saturday evening. I posted a comment a while ago that we had been disappointed on a previous visit, but standards were back again and the food and service was good. We had American friends staying in the hotel - they had a lovely room (no 6)...

Their undoubted skill with food is not complemented by the evening front of house service. Over 4 visits spanning 3 years a lack of consistency in people and outcome was always redeemed by friendliness and warmth. Our last visit on the 22 and 23 May to celebrate Linda's 65 was spoilt by pretension and ineptitude in equal measure. On our...

Dear BobgChippenham, Thank you for your feedback and I am terribly sorry we failed you in certain areas. You should have had your favourite table as requested and I can only apologise that this did not happen and that it spoiled your stay. Similarly, the wrong charge for your wine should have been met with a fulsome apology. I might...

Very nice place although a bit on the pricey side - £115 for a single person B&B on a Tuesday night. I was in a room in the coach house which was very nicely furnished with an extremely comfortable bed and duvet. En-suite was nice but very poor shower pressure which I do not expect at this price - it...

Booking experience was great; the staff re-arranged rooms to allow us to stay in a dog-friendly room in the coach house just outside the main building. Our room was small but sufficient for the 3 of us, friends who had recommended this hotel stayed in the main building where the rooms appear larger. Food was excellent and there was a...
