If I were ever to run a B & B, this is the lesson in how to do it properly. Warm welcome, elegant historic property, beautifully furnished bedrooms and bathrooms, lovely breakfast. It just couldn’t be better.

Hi Steve. This is Frances here, the new owner. I thought I'd replied to your query a few weeks ago but it doesn't seem to have been posted - I'm sorry that you've had to wait so long! Don & Wendy have moved further down the same street in Bridport and I hope we are keeping up to their high standards! The bungalow is still here and available to rent for weekends or longer. I do hope we can welcome you back to The Gables soon... Best wishes, Frances

"Would definitely recommend the Blue Bamboo room - spacious with excellent views."
"This is not a hotel, but a family-run B&B. Our large room was sunny with south and west views. I would guess all three rooms equally quiet."
"Both rooms we saw were excellent."
"You can't go wrong with any of the rooms."
"Go for the master bedroom, the other has bunk beds."
