I have mixed feelings about this place. The food is actually quite good and the location is stunning, but the inside of the pub lacks any warmth and atmosphere. With visiting friends, we wanted somewhere to take them for a drive out and lunch. As the day was reasonably warm and sunny, we thought of the stunning view from the...

We had lunch with friends at this interesting old pub. Old beams, stripped stone, bare boards and log fires in winter. Interesting menu with specials each day. Good local food and fresh fish, well presented. Good wines, dogs welcome. Big garden with plenty of tables and stunning views of Corfe Castle and the Purbeck Hills.

My friends and I were staying near by hotel and decided to have a meal in the pub. It's welcoming atmosphere and friendly service. Great menu, food is locally sourced and it is delicious but very big portions, couldn't try the desert. Good selection of drinks. Would recommend to try.

Arrived for a drink after being at Studland bay beaches for day, for a drink and dinner. After the first drink we decided to enquire about room vacancies. The staff were very friendly and assisting gave us a great rate for the night, we were shown our room straight away without payment being insisted up front. The room was beautiful...

Called in for a pint ,with family-my daughter and husband have been here often.A great beer garden ,as many reviewers say ,with good distant views towards Corfe Castle & sea.Decided to have a bite-so went for the crab sandwichs ,they were ace! Well worth a visit ,though I imagine villagers get fed up as car park quite small & popularity...

Fabulous beer garden with great far-reaching views of Corfe castle. Nice decor inside and lovely atmosphere. Food very good although a little bit limited, would be nice to have seen a few more options. Children's menu limited to main meals only, no desserts, so had to buy full price pudding for a little one.

Doing a 9.5 mile walk we went off the route to visit here. Waited at the first bar we went into through front door only to be told they don't serve drinks there after a certain time, Unhelpful and made us feel a nuisance wanting to be served from their bar!!! Garden had wonderful views, but slow to clear tables...

We stayed here with friends for 3 nights. Wonderful setting with extensive views from the lower bar area and garden. Interesting pub with many levels and rooms (with one or two low beams to look out for). Very friendly welcome and staff were very pleasant throughout our stay. The rooms were comfortable with good beds and nice bathrooms. The cooked...

Excellent staff, courteous & friendly. Very welcoming B&B. we had an issue of the toilet being blocked in our room & were swiftly moved to the self contained apartment at no extra cost, no quibble. The beds are EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE the linen was top notch. The furniture in the room is rustic looking in keeping with the overall décor. Breakfast...
