It's perhaps like a set from an Agatha Christie novel, wood lined reception room and impressive log fire, elegant and cosy. You are shown first into this lovely room to sit and peruse the menu over a drink and wait to be called through to the restaurant proper. Our menu choices of shared meat platter to start was just right...

This is a beautifully presented hotel with really lovely staff, and we enjoyed our stay. While our room was a little browner than we like, and the bathroom a little cooler, everything else was excellent - big comfy bed, quiet and peaceful, lovely flowers in the public spaces and a crackling log fire in the comfy guest lounge. The restaurant...

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend break here and found the hotel very well placed in Corfe to both visit the Castle and also nearby attractions. It's right in the centre of the village so easy to walk around and has parking at the hotel for free. Staff were very friendly and the rooms were ok, a little dated and showers...

We decided that now every one in the family had families of their own we would treat ourselves to Christmas in an hotel in 2016. Having looked on websites, many were advertising a festive 3 day break, but the downside for us was the advertised disco etc! My husband and I wanted somewhere relaxed, that would provide gourmet food, in...

We stayed for two nights in this lovely old building. From the moment we arrived the welcome and service could not be faulted. Our room was comfortable and clean with good linen and towels etc and it was lovely and warm. Tea and coffee in room with more supplies to help yourself to outside if needed. The lounge in this...

The house is 16th Century with beautiful oak panelling in the lounge, a stylish restaurant and rooms with views of the ruins of one of the most important and dramatic castles. This hotel is comfortable, stylish with wonderful service and ambience. It was a delight to stay here over the festive period and at a very reasonable price for the...

As a party of five we spent New Years Eve at `Mortons House Hotel. We were made very welcome indeed by Ted the owner and all of his staff. The atmosphere was beautiful and we were served a welcome drink in front of the log fire in the lounge. We later sat down to a six course meal which was...

This was our third visit to Morton's House for Christmas over the last thirteen years on this and previous occasions, the service, cuisine, and atmosphere has been excellent. The family and staff made all of the guests most welcome and included within a family celebration. The room was spotlessly clean and well appointed. The food and restaurant service was excellent.

Dorset was kind to us with beautiful weather for walking and our first visit to Corfe and Mortons House Hotel was very special. The hotel feels like a grand family home with so many welcoming touches. The staff are friendly , happy to provide a service and the ambience of the lounges, the bedrooms , the dining ...all meant that...

Went for an early evening drink at the bar and was greeted by lovely barmaid and waitress, Lesley-Ann. Also owner came for a chat. All so...
