Lovely and welcoming Bed & Breakfast. Yvonne is very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are delicious and there are lots of other reasons to like this practical and comfortable base for walking and exploring the local countryside and pubs!

We had a lovely weekend here and the hosts were very accommodating given our late notice as we had only heard that morning that our booking to go somewhere else had been cancelled. We stayed in the south room which had a beautiful view and we had delicious breakfast to fuel us for a couple of days walking. There is... More

We've just enjoyed a very pleasant January break with Yvonne and Ray, we had the twin bedded room with our own private bathroom, just steps away. All was lovely and cosy, especially the bedroom, which was just what we wanted after a cold snowy exploring of the area. The Greyhound pub, with Monday night Curry and quiz was good, and... More

Sorry to be a pain but, I'm sorry, the reviews do not tell the full story. Nicely appointed, although just a little too far from the main part of the town, the double room with private bathroom turned out to be "the 3rd bedroom" with a single bed on either wall and a little space in between! All the usual... More

We have stayed at Ammonite on many occasions . We have experienced all three bedrooms over time and all of them are excellent. We have always found Yvonne and Ray to be most welcoming . The accommodation and breakfast is second to none. The house is situated in a quiet road but close to all amenities- and the very pretty... More

We stayed in the en-suite South Room overlooking the back and had a lovely 4 nights. The hosts are really lovely and helpful, the village has a couple of nice pubs with decent food and the village is very well-placed. Breakfasts were excellent each day. We had a 2 yr old and we were made to feel very welcome indeed... More

Lovely room, nice and light. Spacious bathroom. Excellent service, with good breakfast. Very nice location in quiet street but nevertheless very close to village centre and pubs or for a visit to the castle. Nice surroundings for short and long walks. Take the (steam)train to Swanage!

My friend and I spend some precious time together once a year away from the trials and tribulations and general domestic maelstrom of our family life! Corfe Castle was our choice this year as neither of us had ever visited Dorset before and we had a very enjoyable stay. Our hosts, Ray and Yvonne made us very welcome and the... More

We have just returned from a short break in Dorset and enjoyed a very pleasant two day stay at Ammonite. We stayed in large double room with en-suite bathroom whilst our daughters stayed in the twin room next door. Very warm welcome by Yvonne and location just a short walk away from the village centre is ideal. Overall, good value... More

Stayed for 4 nights in June in the North Room, really lovely clean and comfortable. Yvonne our host was lovely. Her idea of everyone having breakfast together, (which by the way was smashing with great choice of cereal, fruit and cooked breakfast), was great because we got to meet the other guests and chatted about the things everyone had done....
