A very good stay last weekend at Springfield Country Hotel and spa. High quality includes the excellent reception staff who went out of their way to ensure everything was in order. The indoor pool and spa were very good indeed as was the massage i booked in advance. The gardens and ponds were also of a very high quality. A...

Good points - nice staff, breakfast ok, room reasonable. sauna ok. Bad - outside pool empty and green ? Dangerous. A mattress had been dumped in the grounds. spa?!? well - a grubby looking Jacuzzi that did not look at all appealing. Steam room not at heat. sauna grubby. everything just is not very clean and looks unloved. Only stayed...

A very cosy looking hotel, surrounded by trees, large grounds, a Koi pond, and a spa on site. The spa facilities are fairly basic, with your standard treatment options, a pool, sauna and steam room. The food is excellent, a set price menu for two or three courses, with portions so massive it definitely feels like getting your moneys worth....

The Springfield country hotel is a perfectly adequate place to stay but unfortunately has less charm and definitely less style than a Premiere Inn and at twice the price. Our "executive" room had been recently refurbished but somehow had missed out on any co-ordination of decor. The bed was too firm with the mattress buttons sticking into you due to...

A big thank you to all of your staff for making our 5 day stay a great one, nothing was too much trouble, which was amazing given that you had 120 odd crazy Metal Clayers running around your hotel! Special thanks to Tom in the bar for maintaining my full glass of Sauvignon!

We booked a superior room and it was tired and old fashioned. The chest of drawers had flaking and missing varnish. There was no chair or dressing table to sit and do your hair or make up. The bed was hard. The bathroom was adequate but the shower over the bath was so powerful that it flooded the bathroom and...

We had an overnight stop in this hotel after booking on line. The room was really well equipped, spotlessly clean, nicely decorated, and had a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was large, with underfloor heating with separate large bath and shower cubicle. Although breakfast was included it was a bit small, but when we asked for extra toast it was no...

Booked for 2 nights, and wished we could have had more time there. Everything was lovely from when we arrived to when we left. Firstly we were pleasantly surprised to find that we had been upgraded to an Executive Room; compliments of the management. I imagine this was due to hotel not being fully booked. Everyone was all smiles and...

Arrived after dark and drove straight past the place. Could I think be better signed from the road. But that was my only grumble. Car parking is plentiful and right outside reception. The lady at reception was friendly and helpful she even offered to help with my bags! My room was number 230 on the ground floor. No problems whatsoever...
