Was very disappointed with this hotel and was expecting a lot better from reading previous reviews and viewing the website. We arrived on a Friday afternoon to be met by a stoney faced receptionist who didn't seem happy herself to be their. The floorboards to our room (room22) creaked so much we feared for anyone staying in the room below....

The reception was very friendly, with parking just outside (in the courtyard). The food was very good. The breakfast was wholesome with a lot of choice. The rooms were comfortable (although we did need the electric heater to supplement the central heating). Wimborne is a very pleasant town to visit - the most amazing thing to do is to walk...

This was a pleasant surprise on arrival. The welcome was friendly and the room was larger than i had encountered in other mid-range hotels. The free wi-fi was superb and the bar area was a pleasure to drink in. Food was of a high standard at reasonable prices - wine slightly more expensive than most. The position of the hotel...

I stayed at this hotel last saturday for one night, I had a meeting room booked here the next morning. In fairness the hotel was very busy with Christmas parties of one kind or another, so the place was mega busy when I arrived early evening. The front of the hotel is mainly a pub and restaurant, and it took...

We ate a late lunch here, having arrived in Wimborne for a long weekend. The food is straight forward pub grub, but well prepared, generous in portion size and pretty well priced. The three downsides were that all our mains could have been hotter, the waitress who seated us neglected to let us know that we needed to order at...

My wife and I had lunch here as a bit of a pre - Christmas treat. She had a lamb shank, and I opted for sausages and mash. Both meals were delicious, albeit perhaps on the top end of reasonably - priced. I would have hoped for a slightly better level of service from the staff, although no one was...

Stayed here for the night after my sister wedding. There was a about 12 of us. Can't fault the hotel, it is lovely and have everything we needed. Other than how hot our room was and our toddler didn't sleep because of that! (Room 23) but that's not a big deal. What really let the hotel down was the staff...

Another business trip, another hotel. After a while they can start to blend into one but I was looking forward to staying in the quaint little town of Wimborne. The hotel definitely has that "chain" feel, what personality that was here has been pilfered to turn it into a generic brand hotel. The room was pleasant enough, relatively clean apart...

We have eaten here many times with no problems so thought this would be a good venue for our wedding reception. We were wrong. Told sparkling wine would be ready for our guests when they arrived - we had to chase it up with everyone hanging around. Even when they brought the bottles they left them leaving us to pour....

Went in here last week while in Wimborne for a few hours, had tickets for a show at Tivoli Theatre just up the road from this place. Had sausage and mash and a pint of cider. For what I paid, portion sizes weren't that big. Gotta be honest, i was still hungry afterwards. Sure, its a very nicely done out...
